I’ve done all the Wiley questions(2011 versions) for AUD twice now…when I generate exams I’m pulling high 70s, and low 80s(90 MCQ and 7 sims). Am I prepared? What else do I need to do? Exam is scheduled for Friday. ahhh

This is my 3rd time taking AUD….but first time actually being serious about it and studying diligently (just left big 4…)

I did the Wiley test bank as well as all the problems in the book. My overall impression of AUD was that I needed to know a lot of picky details about the material. I think Wiley did a good job of covering most of these, but I can't remember how much difference there was between the test bank and the book. Wiley and Becker both recommend memorizing the auditing and attestation standards. Becker recommends you memorize the standard unqualified opinion letter, and then learn what is added and where for the other types of opinions. You might find this helpful if you have time.

    Good luck.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

I've been using Wiley 2011 for about a month now after a 74 & a 66 with becker. I feel confident in what I know but am pulling 68-70% on the questions so I definately have to step it up. I also bought the Becker flashcards this time which help you to realize where you need more help. I am sitting for Audit May 20th!

Good luck Mr.300 hopefully 3rd time is the charm for both of us!

    FAR: 66, 68, 75 PASSED
    REG: 78 PASSED
    BEC:74, 78 PASSED
    AUD: 74, 66, 75 DONE!!!

Just wanted to give an update on AUD after taking the exam, I felt pretty comfortable and prepared. About one or two curveballs(out of 90) thrown at me, but nothing I had never seen/heard of before.

As everyone says you definitely have to read the questions carefully. They are really tricky. I kept track of the questions I definitely knew I got right and for all 3 testlets I had about 70-80% marked down as “sure thing”. The rest I was able to narrow down to the best 2 answers, and for the sims I used my knowledge from the MC to answer them. Wiley did help in terms of understanding how the format of the sims would be.

So to summarize. I found doing the Wiley MC over and over again(did all the questions about 3 times and took notes on the wrong answers/answers I got correct by guessing) definitely helped. Hopefully I passed this time around…or I'll have to make a post about REG (will lose it if I didn't pass AUD and my upcoming FAR)
