    Wiley Question –

First of all, you can only practice 30 questions at a time. For someone like me, who likes to do all of the questions available in the sections, this royally stinks.

Second of all, there appears to be less functionality than the 2013 test bank. As of right now, I do not see any way to focus on the questions I’ve gotten wrong in the past, or study the ones I haven’t seen yet, or study the questions I’ve seen “x” amount of times. Chatted with one of their reps, and she is going to have one of their engineers look into it. Hopefully they’ll fix this (or at least make it a little more obvious, if it actually is somewhere buried in the site)

Third of all, there is no way to hide the clock. I may be alone in this area, but when I am studying I do not want to see the clock endlessly ticking up and up and up. I have a tendency to say “Oh, I’ve studied for 3 hours, that’s enough for now.” As a result, I always scrolled down so I wouldn’t see the time clock while practicing in the 2013 WTB. Great for the exam study mode, but not so much in the practice mode. The moderator I chatted with said there is no way to hide the clock.

Looks like I’ll be sticking with the 2013 WTB as long as I can, unless they fix at least a few of these things…

I'm not happy as well as with new WTB. This is what I encountered, but I have always thought the SIMS and research questions were cumbersome, even with the old WTB. I posted this already on another 71 because I wasn't aware of this thread.

I just started a REG practice quiz on the New Wiley Test Bank, and although the MCQ's seem to be presented competently, the SIMS seem to be the usually awkward formatting. For instance, one of the individual taxation SIMS is presented as a 1040 form with just the line #'s and no description per line. I do not think I need to memorize what each line # represents on the actual CPA exam. Also, you cannot use any keyword searches for the research questions.

Does anybody know if this is their final product or are they still developing it?

Thank you @Topsya. Hopefully Wiley will continue to read this thread and make the necessary corrections and changes.

In case Wiley reads the forum again…not a big fan of how the SIMS are graded. If you have 10 disagree/agree questions and you get one wrong, you get a 0%? Or if you have 5 lines of adjusting entries, and you select one account wrong, the whole problem is marked as wrong? Doesn't make sense to me. As far as I know, the exam isn't graded this way.

Hi everyone, below is an update on many of the issues listed in this thread (some features like Prometric Interface are present but just in a different way). We’ll keep listening and making updates based on feedback.

    1. The Test Bank does not mimic the actual Prometric CPA Exam.

You can access the interface that mimics the Prometric CPA Exam in two ways. One way is through the “Practice Questions”: you can create a session and choose either the “Study Mode” or “CPA Exam Mode” when you’re creating a study session. CPA Exam Mode is the one that replicates the Prometric interface. The second way to study using the Prometric Interface is by starting a “Practice Exam.” The “Practice Exam” replicates as close possible what you'll experience on test day.

    2. I don't like having to scroll down in the practice session because it shows all MCQs.

Please use the Prometric interface by switching to “CPA Exam Mode” to prevent scrolling. By doing this, each question will show up one at a time.

    3. Please show the two types of cumulative scores; cumulative score per section (Agency, Property Transaction, etc.) and the overall score (REG).

The overall score for the section is found on the Dashboard in the Current Progress widget. To review by section, click the “Review Tab” at the top of the page and navigating to progress reports and select “View Module Progress Report.”

    4. There are some content issues with incorrect answers.

A content update will be published this week.

    5. Users do not like the 30 question restriction on the practice test.

This has been corrected. Coming soon, you will have the ability to select Simulation questions in smaller quantities.

Finally, please note that ALL users who had active access to the old Test Bank on 2/18/14 can continue to use it until June 1, 2014 (expiration dates were extended for all active sections i.e. if you had AUD Test Bank access expiring on 3/1 it was extended to 6/1).

In the meantime, we are continually updating our 2014 Test Bank FAQs here: https://efficientlearning.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/c/3540

So all of the multiple choice sessions that I have completed today show up in the history list but the percentage complete does not show up on the dashboard or the individual module assessment tab. The number of sessions and the total time spent shows up. Also can it not show percentage correct out of the questions completed on the individual module report?

The chat support is worthless also. I describe the problem and they reply 5-10 minutes (literally) after I describe what is wrong with a reply of irrelevant information and then add “you can use the legacy site”.

Is it okay if i keep using the WTB 2013 and not the 2014? I'm taking AUD in 3 days. Are questions in WTB 2014 different from 2013? I have access to both but i just prefer the interface and function of the 2013.

I did this morning 30 questions in FAR and now I don't see them for review. It just showed me only incorrect questions. I want to see all the questions whether it was correct or incorrect. The old version was much better.

The 2014 Wiley Test Bank is absolutely awful. There are so many misspellings, grammar errors, and straight up WRONG answers (especially to AUD research sims).

Major, major grief: new test bank does not work with IE. Bye-bye, sneaky study time in the office… (we are not allowed to use any other browsers).

Well, I will continue to use the old version.

@aedv I came here to see if anyone mentioned the Audit SIM answers. All the ones I've answered so far has given me the wrong answer. I'm actually getting really nervous about the exam since I've been using the new WTB. I sure wonder how people are going to perform on the exam that are using it, I've noticed wrong answers and am wondering how many others are wrong that I haven't noticed. Ugh. I'm tempted to go back to the old test bank for my last two days of review.

I don't like how in exam mode the calculator opens on a different screen, it would be much better if it popped up like it did in the old version, also like in the actual exam. The calculator is an improvement though compared to the old WTB.
