    Wiley Question –

First of all, you can only practice 30 questions at a time. For someone like me, who likes to do all of the questions available in the sections, this royally stinks.

Second of all, there appears to be less functionality than the 2013 test bank. As of right now, I do not see any way to focus on the questions I’ve gotten wrong in the past, or study the ones I haven’t seen yet, or study the questions I’ve seen “x” amount of times. Chatted with one of their reps, and she is going to have one of their engineers look into it. Hopefully they’ll fix this (or at least make it a little more obvious, if it actually is somewhere buried in the site)

Third of all, there is no way to hide the clock. I may be alone in this area, but when I am studying I do not want to see the clock endlessly ticking up and up and up. I have a tendency to say “Oh, I’ve studied for 3 hours, that’s enough for now.” As a result, I always scrolled down so I wouldn’t see the time clock while practicing in the 2013 WTB. Great for the exam study mode, but not so much in the practice mode. The moderator I chatted with said there is no way to hide the clock.

Looks like I’ll be sticking with the 2013 WTB as long as I can, unless they fix at least a few of these things…

    @RedSoxFan77

There are actually fewer questions on the new platform for REG than the old. 1192 vs 1164 MCQs and 40 vs 35 SIMS. I haven't seen any questions that I haven't seen before.

I read earlier they make you do no less than 5 sims at a time… That irks me. I barely have the patience to do one of their sims, never mind 5!! Also, complaint about the old test bank, or maybe it's my Mac, but when the Sims answer key pops up, I have to move back and forth between screens to see it, so it gets really confusing. Maybe that won't be a problem with the new test bank?

Thanks everyone for the feedback on the new 2014 Test Bank.

We’re listening and have already made updates to address specific feedback and will continue to do so on an ongoing basis. Please note that ALL users who had active access to the old Test Bank on 2/18/14 can continue to use it until June 1, 2014 (expiration dates were extended for all active sections i.e. if you had AUD Test Bank access expiring on 3/1 it was extended to 6/1).

In the meantime, we are continually updating our 2014 Test Bank FAQs here: https://efficientlearning.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/c/3540

Wiley – thank you for listening, and for the additional access. I just went through some of the program, and will say there are some things that I like. Here are some suggestions from me that may have already been addressed:

    1) Do not like the scroll down practice session showing all MCQ's. Please revert back to the screen that is similar to the CPA Exam.

    2) I like to see 2 types of cumulative scores. Cumulative score per section (Angency, Property Transcation, etc.) and the overall score (REG).

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

While the scrolling feature does not mimick the real exam I think this feature is easier to use on say an iphone or iPad. When I'm on my laptop I do prefer the other format.

OK, so i used the new test bank for like a minute. I like the scrolling questions because it's quicker than having to press multiple buttons to move to the next question. Although I liked that the old test bank mimics the actual exam really well, that was a huge plus of the old test bank. What happened to the calculator, not that I really liked it, but it was useful. Haven't tested the sims yet or looked at other features…

There is a way to mimic the actual exam – you need to choose “Exam Mode” for that

    AUD - 90
    FAR - 83
    BEC - 81
    REG - 80
    ETHICS - 100

I've decided that it's not that bad. It's just going to take some getting used to. I haven't been able to use the old test bank for the past month and have been using the offline version and syncing to the online to get questions. Glad to be able to get back online. Makes it easier to sneak study time at work. Good look to everyone waiting on scores! Hope you ALL pass! 🙂

Thanks WILEY for responding to this thread. Since I started it out, I thought it might be beneficial to write up a list of what appears to be the main complaints:

    1) Content issues- A number of the posters have noticed that the questions and their respective answers are not linking up properly, are included in an incorrect section, or have answers that are flat out wrong. This is a MAJOR problem and must be fixed ASAP.

    2) Practice question restrictions- As noted above, several of us are not at all happy about the 30 question restriction, or having to practice a minimum of 5 simulations. Please give us back the flexibility that was available in the 2013 test bank–the ability to choose exactly how many questions and simulations we'd like to practice, especially the ability to practice up to 200 questions if we want to.

    3) Bring back the bar graph– In the 2013 version, we were able to run a progress report that showed us what our average scores were per chapter/section. It is not as important to know the percent of questions practiced–it very important to know the average correct per section. This allows us to target the areas we needed to work on before exam day. Please add this back.

    4) Manage our practice sessions- We were able to delete old practice sessions in the 2013 version. Since these practice sessions drive the bar graph results, it is important that we have the ability to manage them. For example, while checking out the 2014 version I've done a few practice sessions which I do not want to be included in my report analysis, since they were purely a reconnaissance mission.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of fixing these areas of concern.

So I am a little puzzled where is the online calculator now ? Even though I hate having to use that but I think its important to have it like how we see it in the exam with the Running tape etc

    Thank you, @NotAgain. Great outline.

Hopefully Wiley will consider all that

    AUD - 90
    FAR - 83
    BEC - 81
    REG - 80
    ETHICS - 100
