Wiley Question –

First of all, you can only practice 30 questions at a time. For someone like me, who likes to do all of the questions available in the sections, this royally stinks.

Second of all, there appears to be less functionality than the 2013 test bank. As of right now, I do not see any way to focus on the questions I’ve gotten wrong in the past, or study the ones I haven’t seen yet, or study the questions I’ve seen “x” amount of times. Chatted with one of their reps, and she is going to have one of their engineers look into it. Hopefully they’ll fix this (or at least make it a little more obvious, if it actually is somewhere buried in the site)

Third of all, there is no way to hide the clock. I may be alone in this area, but when I am studying I do not want to see the clock endlessly ticking up and up and up. I have a tendency to say “Oh, I’ve studied for 3 hours, that’s enough for now.” As a result, I always scrolled down so I wouldn’t see the time clock while practicing in the 2013 WTB. Great for the exam study mode, but not so much in the practice mode. The moderator I chatted with said there is no way to hide the clock.

Looks like I’ll be sticking with the 2013 WTB as long as I can, unless they fix at least a few of these things…

How do the simulations stack up? I may just log into that new one to see if I can get more practice on sims if they are different.

I can't get it to score the SIMS as I go. Only at the end, which is really annoying since you have to do 5 at a time at a minimum.

I logged in for the first time today and I noticed if you hover over assess it says “Choose multiple-choice questions by module, incorrect or never seen before.” When I read the email about the integration it mentioned that all your old reports and stats would not convert to the new testbank. I am assuming that since I have yet to work any questions in that new version and am almost starting afresh I dont have the option to pick to work only on questions that I got incorrect or pick the never seen before option.

I just did a quick 5 question quiz to see what happens. As you complete more questions, you get options in that drop down box for see incorrect questions, all questions available, all questions unanswered. That option is still there. Not as many options as before, but it is still there. But the option to do more than 30 questions doesn't change.

Don't get me started!! The only plus is that you can use it on your iphone/iPad. Besides that there are lots of issues…I called and they said they would speak to the engineers and get back to me within an hour…that was 2 hours ago. While you do have the ability to select questions not seen yet and questions answered incorrectly it does not have the seen 1x, 2x option. The “Overall Score” shown on the front of the page is not the overall score after all…it is the % of questions answered. One of the best features of the old version is non-existent. There is no longer a graph showing your average score for each category. Again, it just shows % of questions completed…I care more about my score and not how many I've answered. There are countless typos and errors on questions. Already sent them the following question that is incorrect; FEDE-0033 for REG…oh yeah and I sent the guy at Wiley link to this forum…..

AGEN-0005 for REG has the wrong answer linked to it, too. We should start a thread with all the problems that are wrong.

I haven't used Wiley yet but was planning on it given all of my prior research. It's concerning that it seems to have gone downhill quite a bit. Temporarily reduced functionality is disapointing but still workable. When I see incorrect questions and answers though, that's a deal breaker. I will be checking back here for all of your feedback before I make a purchase. Thanks to everybody giving their comments, hopefully the WTB will be fixed and updated accordingly.

Seriously, Letters, I wouldn't bother with it. The WTB software has never worked right on my account (had the account for 18 months) and from what I've seen so far, the new platform is junk.

Not to mention the customer service. Or should I say lack of service. The process is insane. It takes ten emails, three live chats, five phone calls, and hours of your time to get nothing accomplished. It's bad. Like, gut-wrenching, anger-inducing, I-want-to-stab-someone-in-the-face-because-you-are-so-incompetent, bad. You get a different person with each attempt, who never bothers to read what is going on or get up-to-speed on how they can actually help you. They take 6 days to tell you, “we'll look into it,” or, “just wait longer.” You have to sell the rights to your first born child to actually get a tech person on the phone (tech support is exclusively online unless you beg a CSR). It's horrible. Anyway, that's just been my experience, so buyer beware.

Roger CPA review has a test bank now, but the features on it are infantile and I don't think you can buy it separately. The Becker one is pretty good, but it's totally integrated and their package is really expensive.

Anyone else know of a better stand-alone product? Because I would totally buy it.

You can buy Gleim standalone. They do have a lot of double questions in their testbank, to give you more than 2000 questions per section. Gleim is my main program, but I basically only use it for the testbank.

I was happy enough with the old test bank, but it is nice that I can now use it on my tablet.

I do like the new table where you can easily see how many questions there are in each area, how many you've already seen, etc. But I haven't actually taken any quizzes yet, so we shall see.

Sucks when they change things and assume students won't miss certain features… 🙁

Hey everyone- I finally heard back from the chat moderator, who confirmed what @clarissa said a few posts above. Apparently after you do a number of questions the options to re-do certain ones magically (haha) pops up. I guess that is a plus.

Still annoyed that you can't do more than 30 questions are once though.

I really liked the fact that the OLD version's interface was very similar to the actual exam… so yeah, Im with you guys, he new version is simply disappointing……
