Hello all,

Taking FAR on 5/29. Been preping with Wiley Test Bank exclusively. I usually do at least one 30 MC testlet per day and review all of the answers – done about 700 MC questions so far. I usually practice the sims in the last month or so I don’t feel off track with that yet.

I’m a little concerned about my scores, I have a cumulative score of about 72% but I’ve had a bad run of socres over the past 10 days or so, feel like I’m dragging down my mean. Scoring in the 60s and low 70s.

Is anyone else using Wiley Test Bank? What was your experience with your scores? I’ve used it for my other tests but generally found my scores started to improve with about a month to go. I ended up averaging b/t a 75% and 80% on my cumulative Wiley Test Bank efforts for my prior exams.

Just starting to get a little concerned with a month before the exam . . .

I usually do a 90 set with 7 sims. I do not prefer Wiley's sims… as they seem wayyyy to easy compared to Beckers and what I've seen on my prior two exams. Their MCQ's are good though. I take my test Friday and as of now I am doing progress test after progress test. I don't know that I even know how to work Wiley Test Bank very well, because all I do is download my own assessments and select the choice haven't seen yet, but they still seem to be ones I've seen before? I guess I will just keep switching between Becker and Wiley to keep a change of pace. Any other tips on day before exam?

I am nailing the Wiley TB FAR sims so far, I”ve only done 3, but it is nice to ace something.

I found the Wiley sims for the other exams were in line or harder than what was on the exam.

Perhaps the FAR sims are the exception . . .

@bcjasper – a 99 has to be like 2.5 + standard deviations outside the avg score for the window – very impressive.

@ memmy29 – This is the first time I've done over 2500 MCQs from two different test banks (I really prefer the Wiley test bank format to Becker's but it is nice to have to become familiar with both)…I always seem to get screwed right before a test and it was no different with my 4/24 test date – I got a BAD case of the stomach flu and was unable to study for a full week. Luckily, I pushed my test back a few weeks since I got sick during the week of my original test date – it is some bad mojo I think 😉 So here is to a successful test day on 5/8!

@jgrfan1 – I truly hope I do as well as you've done on your sections…my glitch is that I know how to answer the MCQs but miss a small piece of the question and do a face-palm smack afterwards 🙂

jgrfan- I didn't use Wiley for any other section so this is my first time so I cannot compare it to anything I've seen on the exam but my past experience hasn't been so great. My audit sims were terrible.. and my Reg Sims… well that went to a whole new level of crazy, still waiting on that score. The Sims for Becker are a bit more tricky than the ones I've seen on Wiley.. however, I should issue a disclaimer. I haven't been using Wiley for more than a week and I have to say that I just make my own assessments (90 mcq 7 sims) and I keep getting the same ones despite the fact that I select “questions I haven't seen before?”

I expanded my standard morning practice testlet to include 2 simulations.

So I answer my usual 30 MC questions and bombed w/ a 63%.

But I answered 2 Sims and GOT A 175%!

So I passed the overall exercise with 107%.

Cmon WTB, I've been a faithful user for 18 months – don't start spewing corrupt data on me now.
