For anyone using the Wiley book for FAR, I’m wondering how the MCQ stack up to what I should expect on the exam in terms of difficulty/length. I’m working through the MCQ in the book and spending about 5 minutes on many questions because they require long and drawn out calculations. This is different from my experience with AUD and REG where I was able to move through the MCQ fairly quickly when I was studying and practicing. Has anyone else found this for FAR? I’m worried that on the actual exam, I’m going to get hung up on complicated MCQ calculations and not have enough time for the sims. Thanks in advance for your input!

I noticed my FAR mcq required more time than the other sections. I've yet to do BEC, but compared to REG and AUD, for the most part, FAR took longer.

UCMCPA, glad to hear I'm not the only one! Guess I'm just getting frustrated with my rate of progress in my study schedule.

I've heard time and time again on this site from others that mc questions rank in difficulty like this:

-Wiley Book Questions (Hardest)

-Wiley Test Bank (Middle)

-Exam Questions (Easiest)

Obviously nobody is saying the exam questions are easy btw, just compared to the other two options mentioned above they usually rank lowest in difficulty. And from my experience with REG and BEC this has been the case. I'm assuming to confirm this theory with FAR soon as well.

Thanks, Cburnham, that info helps me gauge what I should be aiming for and what I can likely expect.

UCMCPA, seems like I'm slowly getting faster the more I practice. Still have about a month until the exam so hopefully, with enough work, I'll be up to speed by then.
