I thought we had a sticky thread for Wiley, but I can’t find it, so I’m making a new one. I have been searching for the e-mail address for the Wiley Rep for 10 minutes. My patience threshold has been exceeded. If you have questions for the Rep, such as, “How do I …”, or “Did you know that question … has an error”, please post them here. I think it would be easier to have all of this in one place, it will save us all some valuable study time, and help Wiley make their products better.

So here goes, the reason for starting this thread.

FAR online test bank Question BCC-0021 has a column for Fair Value and it doesn’t add up. It has $1,300,000 for Net Assets and they are actually $1,765,000.

When I try to access the SIMs for BEC, I keep getting the loading icon thing. I'm on OS X and I have the java installed and everything, I get that on all the browsers. Any idea?

@Wiley CPA Exam Review – No offense, but you guys suck in terms of replying to emails/live chats. I sent multiple emails with multiple errors 3.5 weeks ago. I even used the live chat to report some errors, and I never received a reply. I was told within 3-5 days. Its been 3.5 weeks. Its irrelevant now since I had my exam already. I really wish someone else would come out as a competitor so I can sign up for their service and leave wiley.

@chakdey, I have never been able to get Wiley to work on any Mac system. In fact I've got iPad and I'm trying to find a way to use it on an iPad, but I think I'm out of luck.

I found a browser app called photon something like that which does flash but I haven't been able to figure out the java yet. Good luck. The only way I have been able to access Wiley was through my Parallels system on my Mac which runs Windows on your Mac so that's the only solution I have for that for now. Wish they would come out with something better.

Thank you for the update, Wiley…I will give it a test drive soon.

I am happy to say that I found a solution to doing my Wiley test bank questions on my iPad. My solution won't work for everyone (or probably most people). I downloaded an app called “pocket cloud”. I'm connected to my pc at work, and doing Wiley questions through what is basically a Remote Desktop Connection to a winders computer. So, it's kind of a workaround, but it is working for me. Hope this can help someone.

Wiley:

I am not sure how to set up my offline player. I do not know where to get the information for these items?

· Allows for Proxy Settings

· Allows for NTLM Authentication (access through firewalls)

With Offline Player open click the “Help” link in the very top right corner. It's pdf that explains these settings.

NTLM Authentication is just the username and password you use within a work network. It allows the application to reach the web outside the firewall.
