For anyone who has used both 2011 and 2012 Wiley Test Bank Software, are there any identical MCQ’s or Sims compared to the 2012 version? If the 2012 is very similar to 2011, what would be the point in buying it for FAR when there hasn’t been any major changes from 2011?

I studied and passed both REG and FAR using the Wiley 2011 test bank. I'm currently studying for BEC and using both 2011 and 2012. I did noticed that there are many similar questions on both test banks, including the written communications portion. If you're into the format of the test bank, I prefer the 2011 version. And the 2012 test bank had a few errors last I saw. Mainly formatting errors. Things weren't showing up (like tabs from the written communications portion of the exam). I was using the online test bank, though. Not the software. Hope this helps.

Hi @14 Times a Charm, in 2012, the Wiley Online Test Bank moved to a different technology platform which has many visible front-end changes as well as back end changes including unlimited practice sessions and the elimination of separate and distinct CD Software (going forward the CD will provide a Pin code for access to the Online Test Bank and any Online Test Bank will come with the ability to download an “Offline Player” sometime this spring).

In terms of question content, in 2012 there are 10% more questions in total spread throughout the modules. In terms of FAR the biggest changes to the Online Test Bank are:

I've seen questions on Wiley that showed up on the real exam – but they were worded slightly differently AND/OR have the answers in different order AND/OR company name may be different AND/OR different thing is asked for.

As long as you get the concept right, you'll nail the MCQ.
