just started supplementing Wiley/Yaeger with some cpareviewforfree questions. i’m finding them awfully difficult. def. more difficult than Wiley’s book on software questions. anybody notice the same thing?

Stick with Wiley … just like the CPA Exam – those questions come from the AICPA.

Just from my experience–

CPAReviewforFree – doing MCQs like mad got me a 79 on AUD.

Wiley Test Bank – doing MCQs like mad got me an 88 on BEC.

That said, I probably won't use CPAReviewforFree again unless I have to choose between doing the Wiley MCQs for the 3rd time or seeing something new. I felt like the Wiley questions prepared me better. It's relatively cheap, especially if you can nab it during one of Jeff's discount offers (he has some darn good ones… sometimes they make you wonder if he took too many “punches to the face”). Most importantly, they cover just about everything, and the answer explanations are superb.

This is no knock on CPAReviewforFree… I still passed. But there's better review programs out there that won't cause you to go bankrupt, and give you a better edge on exam day.

My advice – stick with Wiley, unless you're on the 3rd run-through of MCQs.
