    Wiley Question –

I have been plugging away for a couple of weeks, putting in an average of 2.5 hours a night. I’m almost at the end of the first big section “Framework, Overview, and Statements”. Well, according to the study schedule (which I’ve really only glanced at since I am still waiting to officially schedule FAR), I should be this far on the SECOND DAY of studying? WTF? Is anyone else using CPAExcel for FAR that can help shed some light on this? There is no way that what has taken me two and a half weeks can be completed in the 4.2 hours that the study schedule shows.

I don’t always freak out, but when I do, it is because my study software is telling me that what has taken me half a month should have taken me half a day…

Are you sure you're looking at that right? I have my FAR scheduled for 58 days of studying and “Framework, Overview, and Statements” is spread over a 7 day period…
I'm not sure where the 4.5 hours is coming from, but if it is saying that “Framework, Overview, and Statements” should be done by the second day, I would check your start and end dates for the schedule…

It's odd…I re-did the exam planner dates because that was my first thought…but even with an exam date of 2/15/16 it's still showing that. Hmm. Oh well. At least I know i'm not crazy now though if it's saying 7 days for you. That seems more reasonable.

it is impossible to stay on schedule with CPA excel especially for FAR. just cover the most important stuff it goes way too in depth

There are 5.5 hours of just lecture alone in the Framework section (excluding the “Deep Dive” lectures including those would bump it up to 7.5). So the 4.2 hours is way off. However it is a ton of material. I only did about 2.5 hours a night as well and was able to get through the material and review.

Jones047 – How many weeks did you study for?

I studied about 7 weeks. First 3 weeks just getting through all the lectures, 2 weeks reviewing (read the book and answered the MCQ in each section), and then 1-2 weeks of just doing MCQ from the test-bank. I would do them 30 at a time so i could get comfortable with doing them in 45 minutes or less. And then i would just read over the explanation for each answer.

Only thing that worked for me with AUD was to read straight through and then start on Ninja MCQ and also Ninja Notes.

    FAR - Passed 4/2016
    AUD - Passed 11/2015
    REG - ?
    BEC - 05/28/2016
