When I first bought CPA Excel in early 2015, I bought the Gold package, which did not come with the separate test bank. Back in July of this year, I noticed that they now give me access to the separate test bank. I have two questions:

1) I’d like to use it for my FAR retake but am curious – does anyone know if you can access it on your phone/ipad other than through that horrible CPAExcel app that hasn’t been updated since 2012? I didn’t see anything when I searched the app store.

2) I see a lot of people on here referring to the “WTB or Wiley Test Bank”; is that a different test bank than what CPA Excel offers?

A fellow named Nate that puts out Superfast CPA used the CPA Excel phone app to study by, and said that did him loads and loads of good in his being able to pass all 4 parts in 3 months(he wasn't too long grduated). I wasn't aware that they hadn't been updating the CPA Excel app. The Wiley test bank apps for all 4 parts haven't been updated since around that time frame either.
Roger also had a review app that he hasn't updated in material since it came out.

As for the Wiley test bank/CPA excel test bank being the same, I was under the impression they are.
As for having access to on the go, even though the site says it is accessible through an Iphone, I found it impossible (this was summer 2015). What I found works to access the Wiley CPA test bank is the same thing you can use to access the NINJA test bank – an Ipad mini. It is the smallest device I know of that will access it.

I began using Wiley in February of this year and purchased their platinum package primarily so I would have access to their test bank. I stumbled upon their test bank app (they actually have 5, one for each section and with everything) and used it a bit to study but tried not to rely on it too much since it hasn't been updated in years. I actually re-downloaded it a week or two ago to try using it again but now it won't accept my login.

I do recall reading on their technical forum that they planned to update it in late 2016 so maybe we'll see something soon.

I have the Wiley app and agree, it's verrrrrrrry outdated. But it's functional. It serves the purpose when I'm on the go and have a few minutes to answer some questions.

As for Wiley/CPA Excel, it's all the same. CPA Excel is the stuff that Wiley puts out for the exam.
