This is for anyone who either has used Wiley CPAExcel or knows more about computers than I do. I have an old laptop with a 2.0 GHz Intel Centrino Duo processor and 2GB of RAM. The CPAExcel website says the system requirements for a Windows machine are: Intel Pentium 4 2.33GHz, AMD Athlon 64 2800+ processor (or faster), 256MB RAM, 775MB free hard disk space, DVD drive.
I know little about computer hardware, but the processor requirements and RAM requirements seem a bit odd (as in why only 256MB of RAM?) Does anyone know if a computer really needs a 2.33GHz processor to run the CPAExcel program? My laptop is old, but it seems to be working fine. I really don’t have the money for both a new laptop and a CPA review course right now and if I don’t have to upgrade the laptop, I really don’t want to.
Any help would be much appreciated!
