Wiley Question –

As I sit here studying Notes Receivable in the FAR module, I find myself yet again completely stumped by the MCQs. There is nothing even remotely close to these questions in the notes.

If CPAExcel taught cooking classes, their lectures and study guides would be “How to microwave a Hot Pocket”, and then their questions/sims would be “How do you prepare a Beef Wellington, Yorkshire Pudding, and Creme Brulee, and what is the best region of Bordeaux for the 2009 vintage?”

Just needed to vent. 🙁

I read the same issues with Wiley in these forums so you are not alone. It is vital to learn the essential concepts and keep making progress. Accept that you may not be able to solve all of the questions in your study at this point and those questions are part of your learning. Spend time on the ones that you think are worth your time and discard the ones that seem extremely difficult.

I would also recommend Ninja MCQs if Wiley Test Bank does not work for you. Hope these help.

Are you just going through the lectures and study text? If you are, I would start reading the actual book for concepts that you are having a hard time with. The book goes into a lot more detail than the lectures and study text.

I vaguely recall this issue when I did cpaexcel a few years ago. I think it's because the study text and lectures are streamlined to hit only the most commonly tested items. The Mcq hit pretty much everything so you would need to hit the books to get the gaps filled.

I wouldn't stress. I only did the lectures and study text and got through the tests.
