CPAExcel and Wiley for REG?

    For Auditing and BEC, I used a combination of Wiley (primary) and CPAExcel. I ended up with an 87 on Auditing and am waiting on BEC, but I believe I passed it.

    I’m gearing up for the REG section and would like to know from people who have passed REG if Wiley and CPAExcel will be enough. I already have the CPAExcel so I would only need to buy the Wiley book (I like the hard cover whose batteries do not die).

    I used CPAexcel and Jeff's Ninja notes, plus the Wiley book (although I probably only spent 5% of my time in the Wiley book) to pass REG. Passed with an 85. So yes, it's enough!

    The Ninja notes aren't essential, but I found them very helpful with all sections of the exam.

    CPAexcel = primary study guide

    Ninja Notes = a great way to organize my notes (although I made most of my notes on Note cards)

    Wiley = only opened the book if I needed clarification

    FAR: 71, 77
    BEC: 70, 82
    AUD: 62, 78
    REG: 71, 68, 85

    CPA excel only for Reg (and everything else), though an 81 may be a bit too close for comfort. the only thing that i thought was lacking was SIM prep but idk if adding anything else would really help with that anyway.

    REG - 81
    BEC - 88
    AUD - 85
    FAR - 81

    I'm using CPA Excel and just took REG on Saturday. I didn't supplement with Wiley or Ninja. I felt fairly+ confident with the MCQ's but the Sims were off the wall (although it sounds like nothing can REALLY prepare you for them). Depending on how my score comes out will determine if I add Wiley or Ninja to my future studies….

    I used CPAExcel only for REG and I passed…but just barely (75). The materials match the AICPA's list of the possible materials on the exam, so I think everything is there that you need. But, it might be a good idea to have another test bank because I do think that CPAExcel focused heavily on some topics that didn't appear at all on the actual exam. Getting a second test bank gives you another shot at MCQ's that focus on different areas. Good luck!
