    I have both textbooks and still don’t know which one I should stick with to study the materials. I’m planning to do the MCQ in both though.

    Wiley seems too have soo much details and more deductions/ taxable income etc than Becker. Becker seems to be more organized. What should I do?

    Thanks…

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

    I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

    Becker is good for business law and specific ancillary material covering professional responsibilities and the federal tax process; Wiley for the tax law. This combination gave me a 19-point boost. Good luck.

    Here's what I did & finally passed REG in my 3rd try:

    -Read Becker chapter at least twice,

    -Work all the MCQs/SIMs 2-3 times,

    -Continue doing progress tests,

    -Once you feel comfortable with Becker and are scoring at least above 85%-90% move on to Wiley testbank. You don't need to read Wiley textbook. I prefer Becker textbooks and Wiley's books just scare me, it has way too much information (IMO).

    -Do all the MCQs/SIMs in Wiley at least once. I did all tax related MCQs/SIMs, and didn't have enough time for blaw. Becker does a great job with blaw, so I didn't feel like I was at disadvantage for not doing Wiley MCQs for law. Whereas Wiley goes little further in tax compared to Becker.

    Don't underestimate law, even though Becker says 20% of exam is blaw related, I don't know how true this actually holds. You could end up having majority of MCQs related to law on your exam. Also, read over ethics/legal responsibility couple times, you'll be glad you did on the exam day:!)

    Good Luck! It's not as bad as it seems, trust me!
