First test I took was BEC in January 2012 and made a 66. I only used CPAExcel and am thinking about ordering the Wiley test bank. I plan on taking the test April 1. Can I get through all of the necessary content in the Wiley test bank to prepare myself for test day? Is it even worth getting since I plan on taking the exam in two and a half weeks?

    Thanks.

Yes, it is worth it. I found that CPAExcel and the Wiley test bank worked well together. Some of the questions are duplicates, but enough were not to make it worth it.

Okay. Since I have not taken any of the other tests, should I just purchase the entire Wiley test bank for ALL sections? Since I do not have time to spend any of the little bit of money I make, I guess I could spend it all on materials. LOL

    Thanks for your help.

I used CPAexcel and I had the Wiley books, but I rarely used Wiley (maybe 3% of my studying). CPAexcel was more than enough for me to pass BEC. Did you finish the whole study guide? All of the questions, with 80%+ scores? I found that when I failed with CPAexcel, it was always because I fell behind the study program and didn't have time (I recommend saving a week) for review.

I finished all the material and scored a 86 on the simulated exam 3 days prior to the actual test date. I half-assed one of the essays because I was running really short on time which i think really really hurt me…although the test got much easier in the 2nd and 3rd testlets…which, from what I have read, is usually a sign that I bombed the first testlet.

I will hit BEC hard on CPA Excel up until test day and hopefully I will feel as prepared as I did last time going into the test.

    Thanks for your help.

I used CPAExcel, Wiley and Gleim test banks to supplement and the NINJA notes and unfortunately wasnt able to pass BEC this time. I would always recommend supplementing any review course with questions from another test bank, even if it is just CPAReviewforfree.com. I think having questions from multiple sources makes you think about the question in a different way.

I went ahead and ordered the entire Wiley test bank from Jeff. Pretty reasonable considering it is 100 bones off.

Also, thanks to this site, I have come to realize why everyone tests on the 2nd day of the month instead of the 1st. Good things and I am glad I joined this blog.

Thanks to Jeff and everyone on the site.
