    I think they did that because people memorize the answers.

    I posted the same thing on this thread…

    https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/wileys-new-2012-version

    Got a response directly from the Wiley guy 🙂

    Hope that helps!

    @hopeful_cpa we've gotten a few comments on the a, b, c, d being out of order.

    (Thx @apbandj for reposting thread that thread — the best list of Q&A about the new 2012 Test Bank).

    There is an update on this point from what we posted originally …

    QUESTIONS OUT OF ORDER – UPDATE

    @Jeff is correct — they are randomized to prevent learning the answer order. We're checking with the Tech team to get an exact explanation of how randomizing works. Until then here's info:

    > The majority of MCQ do not have have a, b, c, d labels — just 4 radio buttons with answers options

    > These are randomized to prevent learning the order

    > Some MCQ do have a, b, c, d labels that appear out of order as @hopeful_cpa posted above

    QUESTIONS OUT OF ORDER – ORIGINAL ANSWER

    Any answer with A, B, C, D out of order is not intentional. We used a more robust randomizer compared to 2011 and for some answers the letters were incorrectly randomized with the answer text. We're working on fixing these. (We welcome anyone posting question IDs here to speed our identifying them.)
