Roger CPA Review 2014 – Testbank? yes or no?

Hi Everyone! I have a question for those using UWorld Roger CPA Review 2014 materials. I just bought my first section (FAR) and I was wondering if I should also buy the Wiley test bank even though for 2014 Roger no longer uses the WTB and provides his own questions instead. From research around this forum, some feel that Roger’s questions were easier and his questions alone may not be enough to prepare for the exam. Some advice would be much appreciated! So far the materials I plan on using are Roger / WTB? / Ninja Notes.

The platform on both of them suck (I'm currently using Roger and the legacy WTB.. the new one is aweful). If I were you, I'd check out NINJA MCQs. I can't speak to how good it is, but Jeff's Audio and Notes are awesome. If nothing else, it's cheap to try, and Jeff has never let me down in the past.

Thanks for the feedback! I heard the roger mcqs have gotten a lot better since it first came out. First time I've heard about the WTB being awful though. I definitely plan on hitting the Ninja Notes/MCQS/Audio, but even then is it enough? I feel like I should be supplementing something additional.

The Ninja MCQs are great and you get a lot more MCQs as compared to the WTB. I have the WTB but on Friday decided to bite the bullet and purchase Jeff's. I love them! I am not saying so just because we on the A71 forum. You get the adaptive feature and its cheaper than Wiley.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

I don't feel that Roger's FAR MCQ's were enough to prepare for the exam. I also have the 2013 WTB, so I can't speak for the new one, but from what I've heard you should look at the Ninja MCQ instead.

Can't appreciate enough the responses, I was like freaking out trying to find my plan of attack on this. So here's what I'll do. In addition to the Roger material I just bought, I'm going to buy the Ninja notes/MCQS/flash cards and if I still feel like I am not prepared I will get the WTB.

    AUG - ???
    REG - ???
    BEC - ???

I had a lot of problems on the WTB when I studied for FAR in March-April.

I was able to use Roger's test bank for extra questions on EPS, Pensions, Non-Profits and TBS; it helped but would in no way be enough.

I wound up liking his TBS more than Wiley, just because his grading actually shows you a % of what you got right and wrong, whereas WTB would only give me a grade if I got all of them right. But even so, I still did all of the Wiley TBS (on the old version, once I got java working again. I could not get the new version to work at all. I couldn't ‘exit' and see what I got right, or wrong, and wouldn't show me the explanations).

For my Audit retest, what I'm doing is all of Roger's questions first, then WTB (since both of them are already paid for), then I'm going to buy the Ninja MCQ.

I'm looking forward to the Ninja system telling me where my weaknesses are, because the other 2 systems sure don't.

    F - 47, 78! πŸ™‚
After 3 long years, I'm finally DONE!
I could not have done it without NINJA MCQs.

Good to know! I just bought the Ninja MCQs and Notes. The Roger MCQs and Ninja MCQs should suffice.
