    Hi all,

Just started UWorld Roger CPA Review and now I’m worried. I just got an email saying, hey we’ve done a reorganization of all the materials for 2014 and new roger books… I just paid for my class a week ago and my materials didn’t even ship until TODAY! but now I am worried I don’t have the newest materials from roger and I know it shouldn’t matter, but it bothers me because I spent so much money on it. Does anyone know if perhaps I will be getting the updated/new materials in the mail?

Starting AUDIT… this is just the beginning

To be honest, I had my own schedule – I didn't study topic by topic. Some days I didn't feel like studying at all, so I decided at the very least to watch the lectures for the following topic before I did MCQs on the previous one. That way I was able to log in 4-6 hrs of study time per day simply by watching the lectures…but I wouldn't recommend this strategy because you can easily forget stuff you covered a few days before….

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Good question. I absolutely loved Roger's lectures for FAR. I doubt I would be able to finish my studying within 150 hrs if it wasn't for his lectures! However, there was about 10% of questions on the actual exam which were not covered by Roger. But I also read Wiley books – just once though and only the main topics. I liked Wiley explanation for cash flow statement better.

For all other exams – I was a little skeptical but I kept reminding myself Roger's promise so I felt confident that I'd pass at least with a 75.

4-6 hours a day… ouch. I was hoping to spend 3 /day …. for 8 weeks. How many weeks were you spending?

Yeah the difference in order is already frustrating me. I borrowed my coworkers Wiley AUD book and was like ugh I haven't covered this. I was almost thinking of just getting through ALL the video before I got to the MCQs… but I know that's not right either.

My coworker passed 2 (AUD, BEC) with just Wiley book/Test bank, so I'm sure I can at least pass half with Roger/Wiley combo.

You can pass ALL with Roger if you make sure you are well prepared!

I spent about 2 months total studying but I was able to study at work and barely studied on the weekends. I did find it more productive though to have longer study sessions.

Ok, the way I studied – I spent about 20-30 hrs per week the first 2 weeks and after that I took it slow. I just couldn't wait to be done with all the lectures, reading and notes.

I like that idea of working through the material the first time quickly and then spending a lot of time perfecting/reviewing.

Thanks for the advice, did you pass all of them the first time Kitty?

Yep. And I do believe Roger CPA Review was the best investment I've ever made. I know it would take me forever if I were to use just Wiley books.

    Good luck! 🙂
