If he doesn’t think it’s important, don’t do a video on it, or at least don’t read through the book at high speed. This is the section on CPA penalties in Reg if anyone’s curious.

As though that’s not bad enough, he’s not even following how it’s written in the book.

I'm actually using Roger CRAM for Reg, bc well, you see my signature. But I don't even watch the videos unless I don't understand it at all. I watched the Gift Tax video and I was like wtf? He yammered on for a good 5 videos cumulatively about useless stuff, like Jerry Macguire. Who cares? Yeah, if you can learn it yourself, don't watch his lectures.

Peter Olinto does a great job with Ethics and Business Law. If you make flash cards of everything he says, you get above 86% on the practice questions. Roger is better than Becker for taxes as he goes into more detailed and explains things better. I know cause I have covered the tax portion using both. For Ethics and law, I have not even bothered with Roger as Peter is the Law Guru. The same way Roger is the Audit Guru.

I'm a big fan of Roger and his joke. He got couple video lectures which he just read his book and high speed. Just forget about them and skip to the next video.

His selling point is his lecture style. Don't waste my limited time skimming the book in front of a camera. Don't get me wrong, when he's on point and plugged in he's fantastic. But I'd rather have less lectures (even at those prices) than some CYA talk so he can claim it was covered in the material.

I went through his videos for AUD at 1.5 speed and skipped through a lot of them. There's really no way you can teach it without reading through the book since most of it is conceptual. I hope he does a good job at cost accounting for BEC because that's the one area I'd say I'm the weakest in.

RE2PECT, he does a great job in Cost Accounting, I always scored above 86% on the HW (ninja and Wiley) just with his lectures. You might need to supplement his Coso lectures as he does not cover enough. And you might also benefit from youtube videos on the Economics chapter. He does a great job, but I felt the exam covered a bit more. For IT, no review can prepare you for that one, they all just suck.
