After getting my score and seeing that I failed REG it was a huge blow, but I have to keep moving forward. I have already passed AUD and BEC and now moving on to FAR. CPAExcel was good for AUD and BEC since it was mostly memorizing the information. For REG I had trouble with since it wasn’t just memorizing it, but also understanding how to compute certain calculations. The Sims for REG definitely screwed me, it was like looking at a different language.

Going forward with the next exam, I just can’t even look at FAR for CPAExcel, the lectures aren’t as great as I would like them to be, not to mention their course outline is literally twice as much as any other review course. I just want to hear how your experience was for the people that have used Roger for FAR or those that have switched from CPAExcel to UWorld Roger CPA Review. I really need to pass FAR and plan on retaking REG in October before my AUD expires in 2016.

Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. I am really thinking about getting FAR from Roger, but want to hear how other people’s experience with it is like before going and spending money on it.

@FroZtFlare I also used Roger for FAR and owe him and NINJA my passing score. My advice would be to make sure to take good notes on all the J/Es and t-accounts he works out in the whiteboard. You will need these for the SIMS and also to work out MCQs. His mnemonics are pretty good too. His test bank is lacking because the questions are a little easier (although a good number are from previous AICPA exams so not soooo easy) and do repeat for some reason. Also, you might do them section by section thinking that you are answering questions from page 1-5 but in actuality the question doesn't even pertain to those pages…it can be confusing and frustrating to say the least. In my second go around I did force myself to go through each Roger question section by section (even with it's deficiencies) and used NINJA the last few weeks to fill in those holes. I don't recommend straight up NINJA from the beginning because it may confuse you as well because the order is different from Roger and that will throw you off because you might be quizzing on a section that Roger hasn't even covered yet.

    FAR - (11/01/14) 71 (02/07/15) 79
    AUD - (04/30/15) 86
    BEC - (07/21/15) 73 (10/01/15) 75
    REG - (11/30/15) 55 (05/19/16) 74
