    NINJA Question –

    Hey

Just wondering if anyone knows that the ninja mcq will update to test on the new types of mcq and tbs, i think the main new topic is analysis questions for the 2017 exam.

    Thank you.

I don't think the actual MCQs/TBSs are changing, the number and weighting of MCQs and SIMs being tested is changing.

For example, currently FAR has 90 MCQs and 7 TBS (weight = 60% MCQ and 40% TBS). Starting April 1st, FAR will have 66 MCQs and 8 TBS (weight = 50% MCQ and 50% TBS).

    “Skills Tested on FAR

On the current exam, the 2 skills that are tested are remembering and understanding and application, which are split 50/50. On the 2017 exam, the higher order skill that will be added and tested is analysis, which will comprise 25-35% of the exam whereas application will be 50-60% and remembering and understanding will be 10-20%. Notice that a larger amount of the exam will focus on application and analysis and less on remembering and understanding. ”

This is why I think they will ask new questions, I could be wrong though.

Nothing about the new exam changes how you study.

You take a topic such as Audit Sampling and you can ask multiple choice questions (already done), SIMS (already done), etc. They may ask you to give an opinion on something…but it's all based on your understanding of what Audit Sampling is and its relationship to Audit Risk, etc.

The current MCQ/SIMS for NINJA will be more than enough for ninjas to be exam-ready.

I'll have some more announcements coming soon about some new resources.

I added some new videos/handouts to the MCQ area to specifically help with SIMS.

BEC will have something similar to sims right?

I've included videos and Handouts that walk through the likely content covered in the BEC SIMS.

(These are different than the NINJA PLUS videos)

The AICPA hasn't released any BEC SIMS to the providers. Any that exist are instructor-authored.

I went about it in a different way with in-depth videos and handouts on how to tackle the concepts needed to do the sims.
