Using NINJA MCQ FAR

I’m using the Yaeger review program and purchased the NINJA MCQ for FAR. I’m currently only into Module 13 (Present Value) out of 21 mods. I opened the NINJA MCQ and started working through a test and noticed there were questions I had no idea how to tackle. I guess the MCQ test pulls from all of the FAR material available and not just a certain topic? Should I wait until I’ve completed all the modules and covered all the material before using the NINJA MCQ software?

    Hope my question makes sense.

    Thanks in advance!

I would personally save NINJA MCQ for your final review, this way you aren't seeing topics you haven't reviewed / learned yet.

If you go into Custom, you can choose which topics you want to do questions on. Depending on how much time you're leaving for review, I would wait until you finish your course before starting with Ninja.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

Thank you both for your responses. After I posted, I did find the custom option and did a sample quiz. I'm leaving myself two weeks for review and it makes sense to use the MCQ software towards the end. I do like how it tells you whether your answer was correct or not after you answer and then gives the explanation – versus waiting until you've answered 20 questions and showing you at the end.

    Thanks again!

I'm with Operation_CPA. I read the entire Gleim book and watched all the lectures before starting on Ninja MCQs and Ninja Notes

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)

@Andy, would you say the Ninja MCQ are harder or easier than the actual exam? Is there a certain percentage being a good indicator of passing?

I would say the Ninja MCQs are more detailed and more wordy than the actual exam questions so, yes, they're probably harder. I was definitely very prepared for the MCQ section of FAR in that there weren't any questions I was completely unprepared for. I probably would've score much higher if I had spent more time practicing SIMS.

As for a passing percentage, Jeff says to shoot for a trending of 85. I was at an 81 prior to the exam and didn't reach the review phase.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

Thanks! I would die for that score. 🙂 if I can knock out the MCQ section. What do you mean by “review phase”?

Oh don't get me wrong, I am more than satisfied with what I scored. So for Ninja MCQs there are 3 phases of completion. The assessment phase which I believe you need to at least attempt 35% of the total questions to complete the phase. The ‘Adaptive Learning' Phase which you need to answer every question correctly at least once to complete the phase. Then you move to the ‘Review Phase'. I believe Jeff's statistic is that 85-90% of the candidates that reach the review phase pass the exam.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

Gotcha! Sounds awesome. I hope I can pass FAR by adding this. I really don't want to relearn everything again. :/ Such a pain
