    NINJA Question –

I am currently studying for BEC-have gone through the entire Becker book, completed all the homework. My test is on 1/21 and right now I am typing up my notes for some conceptual stuff, doing flash cards, going through the book again and supplementing with Ninja-started last week. I haven’t hit Ninja MCQ that hard yet, but sample progress tests are about 60-65%…Granted I am still reviewing as I go… What do I make of it? I know I still have time and will be doing more MCQ in the coming weeks along with multiple progress tests.

Don't fret. You have MORE than a month to go. I would do one more session of MCQ (30) and within that session, see which areas you need to work on more. Go back to those sections and start reviewing.

Once I see some areas that I'm lacking, I would just stop the MCQs and understand WHY I'm getting it wrong. I would consider HOW I'm answering the questions so I can answer it properly the next time. You have much time to prepare for this. Knock it out. Good luck.

How does it compute trending score vs actual score? Trending seems to be on the high side for me..

As long as you are truly learning why you got each answer wrong then I wouldn't worry. I didn't trend above 70% on any of the tests I passed. I only did between 200 and 500 mcq for each section but made sure I understood why I got each question wrong.

Thank you for your feedback-I am finding Ninja to be a good tool to diagnose which ones I am not getting-granted this is the review after having gone through the book and not gone back much. I appreciate the encouragement-feel like I am hitting a wall a little bit:)

I wouldn't worry much, that wall is movable! One thing you can do is if you get an answer wrong, or just guessed write, read the reasoning and take notes. Some people like to copy and paste the answer into a word document so they can then read those whenever they want.

Having just started, I wouldn't be too concerned over a trending of 60%. On most of my exams I was trending around 70 until a week or two before my exam. I always started off rough, and then improved.
