    NINJA Question –

I have read the success stories of passing with the scout package only. How can you study just using this package exclusively? I learn through reading mainly and going through problems but I want to also make sure I am taking the necessary steps to pass the exam. Should I look to buy the sniper package that offers more? I have to pay for everything myself unfortunately.

One of the things I have read the most is that people buy the assault or the sniper package and find themselves just doing the MCQ and the notes as a reference. I am just trying to get a gauge before I dive into the studying.

I think you'd be good with the Sniper. I use primarily Ninja (bought it after I spent a ton on Wiley, which I ended up hating) and it works for me. I like how the book is set up, I rely on the test bank, and I love the audio, notes, and flashcards. And really, for the price, you can't beat it.

Go with the Ninja Sniper package, just like @Jennifer wrote. You'll love this package, I use it myself, for my Q4 FAR/REG/BEC exams. Make sure you do everything in it though.

Also, visit AICPA website for sample tests and read the ‘blueprint' as well: https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/ExaminationContent/DownloadableDocuments/cpa-exam-blueprints-effective-20180101.pdf
Remember, MCQs (50%) & SIMs (50%) for the actual exams.

With the above mentioned items, you'll have the greater chance of passing.

    Good luck.

Thank you…Would you all recommend that I purchase everything after the holidays to begin to study?

Different people study different ways… I used MCQ banks for over 90% of my study time, and never read any of the books. Do what you find works for you.

Also, as many of the products are timed, you probably want to wait until you are ready to start using them to do any purchases.

@mad max Thanks I plan to start soon but I am looking forward to it after the new year to fully focus on it. I was thinking of going for the sniper package to have the options available for me and to then see how my studying goes.

@mad max, could you please share your methods for BEC? I have been hammering the test bank for the last 3 exams which seems to finally be what's is (hopefully) working for me. However, I am struggling with BEC. I'm getting decent-ish scores for the amount of effort I've put in so far, but I don't feel like I'm making a ton of progress on some of the concepts.

Anyway, any advice you have would be appreciated! I'd love to replicate your impressive score. 🙂
