    NINJA Question –

I am really trying to determine how to tackle these MCQ. From looking at previous posts, it seems like people don’t think Roger IPQ is sufficient enough.

Does anyone think that repetition is better than the total number done?

If I were to do Rogers 2-3x, isn’t that better than going through everything just once? I really want to learn these concepts so can anyone give me advice?

Anyone passed with Roger IPQ only? Previous posts go back to when his IPQ was different..i think with Wiley. I am curious if there is anyone recently that used just his IPQ? Should I skip his all together and maybe just do Ninja MCQ only?

I used both for FAR, but preferred Ninja because I didn't like how Roger's answer explanations for computational problems were in paragraph form. It was really frustrating trying to read them and I liked how Ninja broke them down and made it easier to follow. I'm currently studying for AUD and I used both since it's mostly conceptual questions. Roger's questions are just as difficult as Ninja and I think his sims are a little harder. I had a sim on FAR that was almost identical to one of Roger's. I would recommend using Ninja for your review because you will learn a lot from the answer explanations.

Do not waste your time with Roger's test bank, I highly recommend Ninja's test bank. Roger's test bank is good the first time around when you are trying to learn the concepts. For final review, I would follow ninja.

Disclaimer: I have not used Roger IPQ, and when I took the exams, Roger still used Wiley, so the advice below is general, not specific.

There *are* people who pass all the time with just Roger. People on this site are more likely to have used NINJA as well because, well, it's NINJA's site, so NINJA's pretty popular around here. 😉 However, it may be that Roger's IPQ are fairly lack-luster, so while you can pass with just them, it's easier to pass with a supplement like NINJA, too. You can buy NINJA for all 4 sections for less than the cost to re-test for a section, so the safer course may be to supplement with Roger. People pass with only Roger, though, so if your question is “Can and do people currently pass using Roger IPQ”, then ues, they can and they do.

As for doing the questions 2-3x, the value goes down with repetition because your mind begins to recognize the question and the answer, without having to think through the problem. Like your mind may remember, basically, “the one about Smith & Jones Co. about SOX is the answer with ‘don't' “, but you don't remember the business law concept that makes that true. The benefit of using more questions instead of repeating the questions is that you can get a question over the exact same topic, but it's a different scenario, so your mind has to think it through again. This shortfall can be mitigated to some extent by being very intentional to make sure that you are thinking through every question and why the right answer is right (many also advise thinking through why the wrong answers are wrong). However, when you start repeating questions, you have to be more intentional to maintain the knowledge gains from them.
