    NINJA Question –

I was wondering what would be more effective rewriting in your own format notes from the ninja text or just rewriting ninja notes over and over again. I am not a good note taker so I thought rewriting ninja notes would be just as effective. Any thoughts?

I can't compare the two because I never rewrote my own notes but after my 2nd AUD fail, I rewrote the ninja notes three times over (along with cranking the MCQ) and it got my score from a 71 to an 84.

With respect to Jeff, I wasn't a fan of the NINJA notes.

However, I've used them if I needed to clarify a solution to his MCQ, of which I am a huge fan.

Putting things in your own words is always better than simply relying on someone else's.

I wrote my own notes as I watched videos. Then I made short notes for each topic. Eg for Far I had about a page for Inventory. For the other three exams, I had 2-4 pages for each main topic for a total of around 20 pages. Then, I incorporated in my short notes, whichever solutions to individual MCQs I found extra helpful.

I made .PDFs of them and took them everywhere on my phone.

I also took it a step further. Because I put things in my own words, I would try to explain different topics to my dad. He is a layperson and helped me identify as I shared with him how my studies progressed (poor bastard) which areas I needed work. As I explained things to him, if I didn't think I helped him understand a given topic, I'd go back and study that area.

Sorry to ramble but I always favor making your own notes.
