NINJA Question –

Hey all. Found out I failed REG with a 68 (first attempt). I was using Becker for my studying. I do have access to the WTB MCQs but I didn’t really utilize them as I didn’t have time. For my retake, do you recommend I read through the Ninja REG book or should I just get the Ninja MCQs and work those along with Becker and WTB? A score of a 68 indicates to me that I have a hole in my understanding…I do know my weak areas and it may be helpful to have an overview book instead of reading the Becker book. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

I can't attest to the Ninja book, but I loved the Ninja MCQ for REG. If you have read the entire Becker book then it could be that you just need to practice MCQ over and over and over until your weak areas are understood. Write down concepts you aren't getting. Google for more information or a different explanation. Don't limit your studies to what you have in front of you. You need to study all your areas for the retake. If you only study your weak ones you risk turning your strong ones into weak ones.

Thanks @mamabear! That is helpful information. I think I definitely need to work A LOT of MCQs but I also learn well reviewing written information. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and get both. Did you use WTB for REG as well?

No. I used the WTB for AUD and FAR because Ninja wasn't out yet. The WTB is good, but I wouldn't pay the price for it now. It's hard to beat the Ninja price. I used the Wiley books for REG and I liked it. It's very informative so you probably don't need that since you have the Becker book.

I am currently using Yaegar for REG – their videos plus Wiley textbook. This past weekend I ditched the videos and read through the book as I felt like I was wasting a lot of time watching videos. The book, however, was all over the place and had way too much information. I'm probably going to get Jeff's NINJA book – the demo chapters looked pretty good. I just want to get done with reading so that I can practice MCQs as much as I can.
