@Monkey Wrench, I feel you. I'm at about 400 , and I am getting a little nervous I am only trending around 70%, and my FAR exam is in 2 weeks…gahh

I am also trending about 70% with BEC, my test is in about 10 days. Just remember there is a learning opportunity with every question, its not necessarily about getting them right, if you can take something away from them.

The CPA gods smiled down on me today. I managed to get both toddlers to nap at the same time and set up a play date for the 5 year old so I could work on my MCQ. Add 30 more to my count–387! I should probably wake the kids up, but I think I'm going to push another 30 question session out before I do that. 🙂

@Mamabear, how much have you covered already studying for REG? I don't think I would be able to tackle MCQs without first learning the concepts.

Armor, If you can handle missing a lot of questions, just running through them and reading answers can teach you a lot! I think a lot of people do that flat out to learn the material.

Thank you Monkey Wrench. Is that how it works learning the materials better and faster? Hmmm.

I guess I have to grab the NINJA MCQs the sooner the better.

@amor–That's what I'm doing. I only score about 50%, but I just read through the CPAExcel Notes and Ninja Notes I have, then start trying to answer the questions. I add additional notes to my existing notes and then I'll go back through all of the MCQ again once I'm done going through everything this way. I did lectures and book for BEC, the book for my AUD retake, 1/2 the book for FAR, and no book or lectures for REG. I just always found that I learned a lot just working MCQ and using the explanations/links to understand the concepts so I decided to try it this way for REG instead of getting all that extra material.

Thanks Mamabear. I guess I really need to change my method of learning having scored in the 72+ danger zone in most of my actual CPA tests (my grade report for 72 & 73 scores shows weaker on MCQs while comparable on both SIMs).

I am still waiting for the update of REG NINJA notes (as Jeff said, it will come out next week) for 2014.

For now, I will utilize using the Becker's outline per chapter so I can start drilling more MCQs.

Well I have no idea if it's going to work, but I figured it was worth a shot. I'll still have 2 more chances at REG before BEC expires if this doesn't work.
