    NINJA Question –

What is your strategy for completing the Ninja MCQ’s? I am using Becker and usually go through all the Becker material/questions for the whole exam THEN move to the ninja MCQ during my review. Would it be better to do a Becker chapter then the corresponding Ninja chapter right after? Please share your thoughts.

Also, do you do each section of Ninja MCQ at a time or just do random sets with every topic mixed in?

Well, I have got some bad scores, so take my advice with a huge grain of salt. Then again, I worked 60 hours a week and essentially 7 days a week, when I got my 64 in AUD, so there's that. (I know that some work 80 hours weeks and pass all 4 in three months, but not everyone does!)

Since I was not having luck reading the book first, as topics I was reading about weren't sinking in, I went straight to MCQ. I would do one single topic/chapter over a day or two, until it was done and I answered everything right at least once. Then I would move on to the next one. Eventually I would just drill my trouble questions.

I didn't take any notes, and I paid for it. I'm quitting my job in December and focusing on the CPA once I get back from a short trip. I still might go right in to MCQ if I have trouble concentrating on the book, but my plan this time is to take notes on the things that trip me up, and figure out those concepts.. I believe that's called “learning”

I do work through all of my Wiley materials and then I utilize Ninja MCQ for refresher and review before my exam.

@NancyD8 you and I are scheduled for FAR on the same day and I was about to post essentially the same question you did until I saw yours. May I ask where you are at with your studying? I am set to finish F5 tonight and feel very behind and overwhelmed but my instinct tells me to keep going and stick with my exam date. This is my first exam so I am just pretty nervous as to figuring out how to best study for these exams. I feel like I’ve forgotten everything I’ve learned thus far but my primary focus is getting through all the material by December 18, then start an intense review for 2 weeks which is where I will start utilizing my Ninja MCQs. I would to hear where you are at, especially since you’ve taken and passed exams and have experience. Thank you!

Okay so for FAR, I used Roger's, which had 31 chapters. After every chapter, I would finish the questions in Roger and move to NINJA. I set a goal for 30 per day (cumulative) and upgraded to 60 per day as it got close to the exam date. I always did cumulative for NINJA and always new questions only (or else it would ruin your trending, I may or may not cheat once in a while if my confidence got too hurt from the low scores). If I did badly in NINJA, I would make note and see what I need to go back to Roger for review.

NINJA would always be the final route to go to when I've finished my studying. I've always Roger as homework and made sure that NINJA was what I used to test my knowledge. You've passed REG, FAR is totally doable.
