NINJA Question –

Does anyone else have the problem with NINJA giving you the same question you are getting correct over and over? I am in the adaptive phase and I have probably seen some questions I get right 10-15+ times. Just don’t know if this is normal or not.

Yeah it's normal. Just go into the custom section and select ‘new questions'. I done that with the last 200 questions I've done and the unique questions decreased by 200. I'm convinced there's a good amount of ‘repeat' questions where the only difference is in the wording though.

I had a supervisor once who said, “an amateur practices until he gets it right. A professional practices until he can't get it wrong.” Maybe the repetition is to drill it into your head until you can't get it wrong.

Bump… I just started the assessment phase of Ninja MCQ and I am doing 30 question sessions in order to replicate the exam. I have just completed two back-to-back sessions and saw atleast 5 repeats that I got correct and another 5 straight from Becker (I don't have a problem with the Becker overlap.. I understand there are only so many databases).

Are you doing 30 “random” questions or are these topically-targeted questions?

If you're seeing 17% repeats (5 out of 30) – that's part of adaptive learning…keeping you fresh on what you know.

If you see the same 5 questions every time. well, that's different.

I had the same issue when I was studying for Reg. I would be under the adaptive learning and pick a set of 20 or 30 and half or more would be repeat questions. So I stopped doing it that way and went to “new questions only” not sure how it affects the adaptive learning aspect though. So far no issues for bec but I haven't done many questions. It is normal to see repeat questions you got wrong.
