    NINJA Question –

    Hi FAR-ers:

I’ve trolled the forums but would like to hear your thoughts on my FAR retake game plan. Retake will be scheduled for between 5/15 through 5/18 – not sure which yet.

I have the Roger book, NINJA Notes, and NINJA MCQ. I really enjoyed the NINJA MCQ when I used it for my first FAR sitting, but needed more time to get through all the questions.

I’m skipping the lectures and am planning to use the NINJA Study Planner to drill down topic by topic in the NINJA MCQ, learning from the MCQs themselves. Coupled with the NINJA Notes, do you think these two main resources are solid tools for achieving that pass?

    In detail:

    1. Read all NINJA Notes again

    2. NINJA MCQ topic-by-topic in 30-MCQ sequences till blue in the face, using NINJA Notes/Roger text/Roger video as supplemental learning material

    3. Take detailed notes or make flashcards of questions I get wrong to drill throughout my day, whenever I have an opportunity

    4. Keep going with NINJA MCQ, taking 30-min comprehensive testlets every 3-4 topics (or, hey, comprehensive testlets DAILY!)

    5. Get very familiar with JEs & T-accounts as I walk through each problem, learning how to solve it

    6. Hit review phase in NINJA MCQ

    7. Review a few simulations (but with healthy knowledge that most of the SIMs on actual exam will be nothing like the practice ones)

    8. Pass!!!!

It helps me to write out the game plan from my head, because now I feel like it may be missing more structured steps…just not sure what.

Any specific tips and feedback are very welcome. Thanks!
