NINJA Method/Framework — When do I read the textbook?

    Hello All,

I am currently planning my study schedule for BEC (will be my first section). I recently purchased Roger CPA’s Review course and will follow suit with NINJA notes. After having read about Jeff’s NINJA Method to studying for the CPA Exam, I was wondering, how are textbooks incorporated into this method? For those who studied using this method, did you read textbook from your review course at all?

    Thanks in advance!

I think it depends on your situation. If you are familiar with the BEC topics then you can probably skip most of the reading and just go for studying the notes and practicing the questions. For example, when I took REG I skipped reading all of the tax stuff because I've worked in tax the past 3 years, but I read all of the biz law material because I needed the refresher. Now I'm studying for BEC and I've been reading everything in the textbook because I needed to re-learn everything before even attempting the questions.
