Hey everyone! I am taking FAR on the 14th of November and I just got to F5 of 10 with Becker. I was wondering how long does it normally take to get through videos for all of you. I feel it takes me forever since I am constantly pausing to take notes.

    FAR: April or May 2014
    AUD:
    REG:
    BEC:
    Scared: 100

FAR first and only attempt: 2014 Wiley textbook, 10 Pt Combo, and WTB

I only get one try to have to give it my all and try to get 75 on my first go around.

-The only thing that stands between you and what you want out of life is the will to try and the faith to believe it's possible.

The lectures take a long time. I honestly think the most productive way to do it is only watch the lectures on the subjects that are complicated. Becker lectures don't really add to much extra information and is about 80 percent them reading from the book and 20 percent paraphrasing. It depends also on how easily you grasp the material.

I am reading through audit and so far I don't need further clarification from the lectures. Some of the computation explanations are helpful in the far videos. Funny enough I am not one of those people who is planning to tightly schedule my exams, so I will have time to watch the videos if I want. I am just saying for maximum productivity your better off taking notes directly from the book and watching the videos on the computational components.

Reading speed is faster than speaking speed afterall.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I spend 4-6 weeks on the video's and notes. Then I take 2-3 weeks for slamming MCQ's and reviewing my notes.

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

Licensed CPA in the state of Oregon

I remember more from watching Cindy and Gary on Yaeger than I do sometimes from reading. I watch the videos in high speed it takes forever to get through in normal speed. leases and cashflows I didnt read the Wiley book just from the lecture and handout got the idea of what I needed to do.

    It depends.
