I am going through the NINJA MCQs by the five major topics (FAR) and I am technically in the “adaptive learning” phase. If am selecting new questions for each new session, is the system really putting me through “adaptive” learning or is that done by specifically selecting the trouble questions/missed last time option? I guess I am just curious if there is a method (and what it is) behind what questions I’m getting with each new session or if that won’t happen until I select something other than “new questions”. I am trying to go through each question in each of the five major topics once and then will go through the questions I got wrong. This is my first time using NINJA MCQ so just trying to figure out what I’m working with here.

i think the “phase” just means you're learning at your pace. you don't reach the end of the adaptive learning phase until you pass each question once so I would always choose “new questions but also do a random selection every once in a while so as to not lose your old knowledge. if you click MCQ on your dashboard (as opposed to “SIMS and Custom” I think…it will say you're entering an adaptive learning something or other and it just randomly selects questions from any section not based on your past results. this is good in review phase once you've done all questions and hit through your problem questions (maybe a couple of times)

thanks @jpowell31; I will definitely go through all of my missed questions at least once and let's be honest, I'll probably end up doing some of them multiple times b/c I didn't get them the first time for a reason! lol. Once I go through all of my missed/trouble questions I plan on doing mixed question sets mixed in with some JE review, a tad bit of sims(probably the JE ones), and reading and reading NINJA notes. I just wasn't sure if the adaptive phase only really works when you are not using the “new questions only” feature or if even when you select the “new questions only” feature, it knows the topics you've been missing and gives you more of those.
