“Also some times i find my self trying to search the questions on the internet while taking quizzes”

I did while studying for my AUD exam that I took last month. Don't be like me, it inflated my trending score, I thought I was super prepared, and you see it got me a 74. This time around I just am not doing that. I think the only way to break the habit is just don't do it. You really want your avg and your trending to show where you stand and where your weak spots are.

Looking up things on the internet will hide your weak spots, and you will miss one or two too many MCQs, and get a 74. Yes I am still mad (at myself) about it, lol

Do not under any circumstances check the internet for answers to questions before answering (you can do it after to get more background if needed)! It will inflate your score and probably cause you a lot more stress on the real thing when you can't use google. I only use the AL/IRC, and only when practicing SIMs because that will be given during the real exam. Probably the best way to break that habit is to think about how panicked you might feel during test day!

what is the point? the score your receive on practice mcqs is irrelevant…its only meant to help you learn more and give you a rough idea where you are knowledge wise. you can get way better info just answering the questions (right or wrong) and reading all the notes Jeff puts in there.

    Aud-75 3x I knew i never liked you
Bec-77 1x being in the bubble is stressful
Reg-82 4x its not me its you...and no we cant be friends
    Far-78 1x easiest section

i agree @taxman89 but it was one of those things where i was wanting to check to see if my answer was correct before submitting it.

From a different perspective – I found myself doing that from time to time as well, especially when I was studying for FAR. I generally only did it when I had absolutely no clue what the answer was though. I would research it – book, internet, etc. I found that in those cases I was learning about the topic rather than just blindly guessing and moving on. When I finally selected an answer, whether correct or incorrect, I read the notes for that particular MCQ to reinforce what I had researched.

If you want to guess without it impacting your stats – click the “?” Button and then guess.

It means you don't know it and are guessing.
