    NINJA Question –

    Hi
I am not majoring in accounting and now I am studying accounting courses myself.
I took three online classes for Audit, Tax law, and non-for-profit and for the rest of subjects,
I’m studying alone by reading textbooks. I finished accounting principle and intermediate accounting and now I am studying cost accounting, financial management, and advanced financial accounting by reading textbooks.

Since I am studying alone and my major is different, I am not sure I am on the right track.

My study plan for CPA exam is that once I finish reading textbooks(cost accounting, financial management, and advanced financial accounting), I am going to take ninja cpa review course. but I am not sure if It will be enough to prepare the exam as I didn’t study about tax law or audit which looks pretty hard for me.

Do you guys think ninja cpa review course would work for me in this condition?

    Thank you in advance!

It sounds like you are already in the “self taught” category.
Get the free sample and see how you like the materials.
Any of the review courses will be enough for you to pass if you use them properly and diligently. You just need to find the one that fits your learning style best.
If reading a book and doing practice questions is your learning style then it should be a good fit. The audio and videos will just be added perks.

    Thank you for your reply!

    I have one more question.
Can I solve and understand the problems even if I didnt study advanced accounting?

I saw some people saying that studying advanced accounting is too much work because we don't need to go through all the contents of advanced accounting for cpa exam.

The equity method of consolidation is a superbly testable topic. Not sure how your advanced accounting course sets up but mine in college was supposed to cover pensions, another topic testable on the exam. I don't think you need to know the book front to back and any review course gives you everything testable on the exam.
