Listening to NINJA Audio during work day?

    NINJA Question –

I am interested in buying the ninja audio to listen to during my commute (30 minutes each way)

I’m wondering if I can still manage to work while listening to the audio during my day too. I listen to Pandora now for music so I’m pretty sure my firm wouldn’t really frown upon it.

Had anyone done so? Did you find it distracting?

    Thanks.

P.S. This is my first post. 🙂

Welcome to the forum! I think it depends on the responsibilities of your job. I cannot listen to the Audio while I'm at work because too many people stop by throughout the day with questions and it would be difficult to keep stopping and starting the audio to the point that I wouldn't comprehend or remember very much. However, several of my employees would have no problem listening to audio for their studies because they don't have as many interruptions and they complete bank reconciliations daily, which is literally matching numbers until you come to something that doesn't tie and requires further research. If you have a job where you are answering a phone or have other distractions then you may not be able to take in the audio and if you have a job where you do mundane, repetitive tasks then the audio shouldn't be a distraction for your work.

I listened to them constantly, at work, in the car, while I was cleaning house, and in the grocery store, EVERYWHERE. I didn't find them distracting. The theory is that if you hear it often enough you can remember it almost like the words to a song.

I listen to it at work. Even though I don't “focus” on it while I listen, I think I subconsciously pick up on it.

I listen to the Becker lectures at work now that they are out on the app.

It's a lot easier for me, since I pick up about as much half listening as I would “fully” paying attention. I dno't find the Becker lectures to be that helpful, so my way works.

That said,if you even pick up a few more things from listening while working, isn't it worth it?

I also listen to them at work – I zone in and out depending on what is going on at the office. You have to pick up quite a bit when you're listening to them 2x a day for a few months

Sometime when I'm doing MCQ I can hear Jeff's voice in my head giving me the answer!
