As in nothing else? Although I love Jeff's NINJA's, I really doubt there is any way to pass these exams without practicing multiple choice questions. Lots and lots of them to be precise.

You test your comprehension of the material by doing the multiple choice questions and you are able to identify little things that might be the difference between passing and failing on exam day.

Maybe try Jeff's 10 point combo which I believe comes with a testbank.

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

The NINJA materials are great…but I think it would be very difficult to pass with only them. Jeff will tell you most people use them in conjunction with a full review course. He also has discount codes for many of them and can probably suggest a few.

I personally use Becker and have nothing but positive things to say about their program.

The cost of taking the test and time spent reviewing would be better spend, in my opinion, by not trying to save a few bucks…get a review course and go to town…

and just as iwanna says…do lots of MCQ's

    Good Luck!

Ninja is only supplemental. It's awesome, I love it, I don't think I would have passed REG or AUD without it. But I don't think I would have passed with Ninja alone either.

I think of Ninja as the bold headlines that you need to master for test day. But in order to master the headlines you need all of those little bullet points and explanatory paragraphs. The AUD test will ask a lot of little details that you will only get from additional materials.

Ninja also has all of little stories/mnemonics/tips to help you recall things on exam day. So, definitely worth the investment. And if you don't like it, Jeff has that fabulous drama free guarantee.

And there was a podcast Jeff did where he said don't use the notes and WTB only. BUT, maybe add the Wiley book too 🙂

Question #1 of the Facebook questions @29:30 minute mark listen to the 2nd question too, it's covering the same topic.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the suggestions. I was asking if anyone just used the ninja notes, audio and the Wiley test bank mcq's without watching lecture videos. I have Becker but its about to expire and I am looking for a cheaper alternative to pass the exam. Does the Wiley package come with lectures? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!!

I'm a working mom of two boys – 4 years old and 2 months and would like to get suggestions on how to study best and what review course.

    Thank you!!

If you already have Becker, why don't you use the Becker promise to extend your license? Its only $200 and I would imagine any other full package will run at least that amount…

Best review course is very subjective…have you been happy with Becker? Passed any parts?

I wouldn't just use the ninja notes and wiley test bank. At least get the wiley book and the ninja notes. (and that's pretty extreme right there.)

I passed FAR using only CPAreviewforfree. Was foolish and risky and I cut it way too close. But yes it can be done.

Also get audio especially since you are a working mom. listen on your way to and from work, at your desk if you are allowed, put that on your ipod while you're doing laundry or vacuuming. Sneak a listen in anywhere and anyway you can even while feeding baby. And you can always read out of the wiley book to your 4 year old at bedtime once in a while…LOL. He or she won't be too scarred!

    It's possible but not easy.

I've taken FAR, REG, & AUD exclusively using Wiley test bank and Ninja Audio/Notes. I did about 30 pages of the Wiley book for FAR and realized after a few hours or “studying” that it wasn't an effective way to learn. I typically re-wrote the Ninja notes a few times, listened to the audio at least 6 times, and did all or almost all of the MCQ's in WTB.

So far, no fails and I only have BEC left. Granted, I've been on a studying hiatus until I can commit enough time to finish this thing.

    FAR - 84!
    REG - 76!
    AUD - 80!
    BEC - August 2013

If you didn't get the Becker promise – you may still be able to get an extension. I was granted a 90 day extension when my software ran out so I could finish up my last part. I had no trouble getting them to do it. I think their 18 month expiration is very flawed since it does not account for the time you spend studying for your first part, applying for the exam, etc.

As others have said, you really need a combo of text, test bank and NINJA notes/audio for the best results. The lectures themselves added little value for me with Becker except for topics I struggled with.

Good luck! You have a lot to balance, but you can do it!
