Theoretically speaking if you just had Ninja Notes and Wiley or Becker MCQ’s could you pass FAR? They don’t seem to be in depth enough to teach you everything.

Did you use a Wiley book too or just the test bank. I am really all for narrowing down the amount of materials needed to pass. I have Yeager, cpaexcel ( started out with but too tedious), Wiley tb and ninja notes and audio. I failed far miserably and I will not go down the constant fail road. so I am regrouping from the top and I am debating whether to go with the book and the notes or go ahead and use the yeager video again…..stuck I am.

But I mean I seriously used the test bank, this was not a matter of looking for an “easy” way to pass, I was not yet employed in public, and was not about to drop that much coin on study material. So I went the cheap route but took it seriously, took notes from the Ninja Notes (as prescribed by Jeff), did TONS of MCQs, took notes on the answers for those, used the Ninja notes and Test Bank to point out my weak areas, where I googled those topics to gain a better understanding.

I must say there is no easy way to pass but I am not going down the retake a gazillion times, so I really want to make it count , cheaply…lol

I passed FAR using only CPAreviewforfree.com (and googled things that I knew I needed more info on). So it CAN be done, but its easier and more thorough to use an entire program and use those as supplements.

The Wiley books are cheap. You can get section specific ones for around $45 or one that covers everything for $50 and the question book for an additional $50.

The Wiley books are also giant monsters that cover WAY too much IMO. I bought them, but thought they were a joke, never used.

I bought the Wiley book after failing AUD: it was way too much and after reading it and doing all the Qs and Sims I got a worse score on my retake! 🙁

So, now I am changing my study material and routine

I would say it can be done, but I'm sure the people who fall within the passing category of just using summary notes and questions probably make up less than 5% of people who passed. I wouldn't take the chance. I think so many people fail this exam because people either don't realize how much studying is needed or they try to take short cuts.
