I’ll start off by saying I love this website and support everything Jeff has done to provide a great meeting place for all of us who are crazy enough to embark on the CPA journey.

Jeff, I know you and many others are firm believers in the NINJA study material. I have limited funds so purchasing additional material is not something I can do with ease (otherwise I’d jump on the NINJA material without a doubt based on what I have read). So, let’s say I want to purchase some NINJA material. I see flashcards, notes and audio. I probably can’t afford all 3, so can anyone advise if they think purchasing just the NINJA Notes is something worth doing?

I’m going through AUD and I just feel like it would be helpful to have supplemental notes. Plus I’ve seen a lot of people particularly with great AUD scores that say NINJA Notes help. I don’t think I can afford both the notes and the flashcards but I am interested in purchasing the Notes if people think that it’s really worth it.

Advice?

I would recommend the NINJA Notes, I have purchased them for three sections so far and I have them on my phone, saved to my work computer and printed out. I can read the version on my phone when I have a free moment like standing in line at Costco, the version saved on my work computer and I usually open in the morning and keep open all day and every now and again take a 5-10 minute break and read them and then the printed version I can take to the gym. I feel with being able to use them in different ways like I do they are really a great deal for the price!

I had the NINJA notes for FAR and REG and I can honestly say that there wasn't one question on either exam that was not covered in the NINJA notes. I highly recommend them. I know that money is tight, it is for all of us, but this is an investment in your future.

I'm using the ninja notes for AUD and REG to supplement my main review course, CPAexcel. They summarize the material really well and are much easier to study on-the-go than my giant textbooks. They're easily worth the money.

Thanks all. I'm sold. Jeff, expect a sale of the AUD notes coming your way. And in case anyone saw my other thread, I'll be taking the NINJA notes to Japan on May 7th where I believe Ninjas are prevalent. I'll just need to watch out for Samurai, I hear they don't like Ninjas 🙂

The first time I bought the ninja notes was for my final exam (AUD) wish I had bought them all. Pay special attention to Jeff's study tips in the front. Worked well for me!
