    NINJA Question –

I have been using Roger exclusively and have failed FAR twice, both with 66’s (unbelievable) and BEC twice with 73, 74.

MCQ’s are my weakness which is really disappointing because most of my studying involves MCQ’s. Either I’m learning the questions or Roger’s MCQ’s are too easy. In order to pass FAR on the third try I bought the Ninja Assault package, so I’ve been listening to the audio and watching the lectures which I really like because Bob Monette is/was awesome.

My test is in four weeks, and since I’ve been through all of Roger’s lectures and have tons of notes, I’m wondering how much of the Ninja method I need to use. Should I try and go through every video and rewrite the notes x number of times, or do you think I should jump straight to MCQ’s since that is my weakest area and I am looking to raise my score nine points?

Utilize Ninja as much as you can. You have enough time to thorougly go through Ninja MCQ. I usually do new questions first, then “missed since last time seen”, then “trouble questions” then you can do random sets. I have done that for all of my tests and passed, and the only one I didn't give the full attention to was FAR, which I am now retaking in February…. I would do Ninja SIMS s well. They aren't as good as Becker (don't know about Roger) but they still help you solidify the concepts which i what you need.

I agree. Work the NINJA MCQs. I liked Bob’s vids as well- he broke down some difficult topics for me that I previously could not grasp. The NINJA notes are great to review right before exams. Short-term memory can be the difference between pass and fail.

Hammer the questions for sure. That is what I did last year and was finally able to pass. Seems like you're in a verrrrrrry similar situation to me.

    AUD - 56 - 68 - 61 - 9/8/16
    REG - 75
    FAR - 7/15/16

Ninja MCQ is definitely good to use, as long as you read the explanations and understand why the right option is right and why the other three are… wrong. In addition to cranking MCQs and reading/re-writing Ninja Notes as you're able, I highly recommend Ninja Audio. It was a great way to review the material while driving to/from work, waiting in line somewhere, or just doing chores around the house. Sometimes your eyes just have to have a break from the computer screen, and the ability to bring studies “on the go” with Ninja Audio is hugely beneficial.

Best of luck to you on your next attempt!

Go.For.Broke, I have been using the Ninja audio commuting just as you suggested. I think some of the topics leave out a lot of detail, but my plan is to keep listening hoping the repetition will cause the material to stick.

I like the MCQ layout a lot better with Ninja than Roger. The explanations are much clearer, especially the calculations.

@Captain Awesome-I love the stats Ninja gives you-really helps to see your weak points. I would also focus on your average score rather than your trending…Those should be close at the end, but I think the average score is much closer to the truth than the trending… I would also do the SIMS in Ninja-I feel that even if they are nothing like the real thing, they still help present the concepts you think you know in a different way….

Use as much ninja as possible. I used it exclusively. You already have gone through Roger so seeing the new Ninja material seems like an obvious choice to me. Plus the ninja MCQs are great and you say those are your weakness so really pound those out.

I also used Roger and Ninja for FAR and really liked the combination. Towards the end I was super burnt out and started using ninja almost exclusively for my final review–it was nice to have a new format to work in, and it is much more like the exam. In addition to doing as many ninja mcqs as possible and rewriting notes, I'd recommend practicing ninja sims as well. In my last two weeks or so I set a goal to do every single one at least once, and they really helped me get a deeper understanding of topics, which helped on mcqs, as well as feel prepared for the sims on the exam. I think they are better than Roger's sims in many respects.
