    NINJA Question –

Who’s taking FAR this week? How did the last days of cramming go and what’s your strategy for the remainder of time before the exam? How do you feel about the whole thing?

I just arrived in the U.S. and spent the 8 hour flight studying from minute one. I feel done now though, could take it tomorrow. I know I will make it, it’s more a question about scoring 80 or 90 ๐Ÿ™‚ Now having buffalo wings for the first time of my life and feeling good about myself for being such a study nerd. I hope the feeling lasts. My plan now is to spend a full day reviewing tomorrow and then relax all Wednesday, and go in on Thursday at 1 and KILL THAT EXAM.

I wish you all the best of luck for FAR this week! Do it!

Krokofilen, good luck!! I'm sure you'll rock it with that attitude. ๐Ÿ™‚ How do you feel Ninja MCQ's compare to Becker MCQ's? Do you recommend people getting the ninja mcq's?

I'm taking it a week from today and my plan consists of: working MCQ's on all my problem areas until my brain can't stand it anymore, typing and reading the entire 104 pages of NINJA notes everyday, take a simulated exam every other day up to Saturday to make sure I really have a feel for the exam layout, and RELAX Sunday. Good luck, Krokofilen!

Go Krokofilen! So glad you're feeling confident! I'm trying to tame my anxiety long enough to shove my brain full of info and actually remember everything! I got my scores up from 20% (ouch!) to over 70%. Just a little extra effort and I'll make it.

KILL IT!!! And then come back and tell us all about it ๐Ÿ™‚ Have fun in the USA!

CPABOUND2013: To be honest, I got fed up with the Becker MCQs for FAR already at F2. I skipped all of it, and started doing NINJA MCQs instead. They seem to reflect the actual exam better, without wasting my time on reading wordy questions. I think the NINJA ones are sufficient, you got a huge database to work with and the interface helps you keeping track of weak areas, trending scores, etc.

Mjganier: How long does it take you to re-write 104 pages of notes? Seems like it would take hours.

CPA50: On Becker or NINJA? Are you taking new questions or repeating?

In the beginning, I would write them all out and it would take forever. I've read and written them so much I have a majority of it almost committed to memory. Now that it's crunch time, I'm typing them out to make sure I get through it all enough times and it takes about 2-3hrs. I want to get at least 5 hrs of study per day through Saturday.

How many days have you guys set aside for reviewing?

I am about 2-3 days from finishing all the material first time around using WIley Book. Reading, Doing all MCQ, and Trying to do SIMs. After I am done with the material I will have about 10 days to review, since I am taking it August 27th. Also have off work for the last 10 days before exam. I think I can get about 6 hours of REAL studying in each of those 10 days hope I feel as confident as you guys…

Gonna use Wiley test bank and ninja MCQ. Review each chapter do MCQ for each one, and review SIMs, and try to crank out MCQ.

GL krokofilen! I know you will kill it! Enjoy your time in the USA

This was the toughest exam I have taken yet for sure. I thought I was well prepared with 120+ hours but I should have studied a couple of sections harder.

This was the first time I went through testlet 1 and thought that it wasn't moderate. I definitely had to guess on a few questions. I think I ended up doing ok on multiple choice overall. Two things stood out to me about the multiple choice. There were 4 ‘areas' of questions that kept showing up repeatedly. I am really surprised about one of those too, and kind of mad about it looking back! Also, I filled up my whiteboard pretty quickly, I wasn't expecting that either.

The SIMS were ok as well. I think I did pretty well on 5 of them. On the other two, I guessed quite a bit and don't think I will get much credit from those. Hopefully one was pretest.

As a final note, there were some huge sections in FAR that I may have seen only one Multiple choice question on, so I was a little disappointing in that. I passed REG already, so hopefully when I get my score back for FAR I can finally be done. But I think it's going to be close.

@ silver dice, you don't get an eraser with your whiteboard?

I called it a whiteboard, but it really isn't a true whiteboard. It's more like laminated plastic sheets they give you and you can't erase them. Pencil and paper would be real handy for this exam.
