Sorry if it’s already been asked, how do most of you study the NINJA MCQs?

Do you actually review all the definitions and references or just memorize the questions and answers since they are pretty much the same on the test?

Read and understand the explanations for each answer. Make sure to understand why the correct answer is right and why the wrong answer is incorrect. Try to notice recurring words and phrases as well which will tip you off on future questions.

When I'm first doing MCQs, I like to write out every wrong answer and every one I guessed on. I also read the book when doing questions. After about 3 weeks or so of that, I start doing the MCQs without writing down wrong answers. I just read the explanations of the ones I get wrong. For trouble questions, I like to screenshot em and print them out during the review phase. I rarely ever read the accompanying definitions, but I like to read the “references” in NINJA MCQ. Sometimes, they'll explain things in a better way for me to understand (looking at you, cash flow statement adjustments!). All in all, I feel like I get the bulk of my studying done through a mountain of MCQs. Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone, looks like MCQ study should be intensive and thorough as presumed. Just started studying again after a few years hiatus of working in public accounting. Should be….fun 🙂

@Martin I honestly couldn't say. It is a highly competitive environment that's for sure.
