    NINJA Question –

Okay … So I found out that I finally passed AUD (84) but again failed REG for the second time with a 73. I have been using Becker and scored really high on the tests and homework. I can think of nothing better to do than to change it up for my January retake. Headed over to purchase NINJA reg. Anyone else here switch from Becker to NINJA for a pass? Just curious. (At least I didn’t fail AUD again. Then I’d be really mad!)

    — You got me. Yes, I forgot to categorize it. Score release nerves. My fault. 🙁

I know of several people who used Ninja and passed. They said they memorized the Becker questions and Ninja questions were difficult and very close to exam questions. I used nothing but the Ninja MCQ and got a 69, but I think I only failed because I just didn't get the bigger picture. You already have the bigger picture. Ninja should get you that passing score and you can't beat the price!

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)

    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85

    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

I agree on the price. It's very reasonable. I memorize questions easily – I think that's exactly what's happening. I totally memorized the answers on Becker even though some of them are very similar to exam questions (slight variations in them, though). Hmm. I am definitely going to try Ninja for REG. Thanks for your input! I already applied for my NTS for Jan. :))

Sorry about the 73 Mary – you're very very close!

Yes, get the NINJA MCQ, but make sure you repeat what you did to get that 73 *plus* the MCQ.

Thanks Jeff. I know the sims are getting me. On my first time, I actually passed the MCQ according to my score sheet and missed points on the sims. I have a horrible time with sims. Does NINJA have simulations as well? — feeling horrible right now. —

70? I'm in. Thanks Jeff. I think I have the ones memorized from Becker and that's a big part of the problem. On my way to do some Ninja shopping now.

@Mary2496..what did you do differently this time around for AUD? I am struggling with this section and I have used NINJA & Becker to prepare. My biggest weakness is the Simulations.

I purchased the Becker package for 3,000 dollars something, but have just used the books and a few MCQs on AUD and FAR. I watched one of these lectures for AUD, and decided it was not for me (at all). I then did the MCQs for AUD, all though didn't need to, and also about 20% of the FAR questions – at that point I decided to switch completely to NINJA. For REG I am just using NINJA MCQs (and Becker books). In my view, the NINJA MCQs seems better (in terms of explanations etc.), and easier to work with (providing you a trending score etc.). I say go for it, and nail that exam.

    @ Mrsterrell –

I didn't use NINJA for aud. (wasn't too familiar with it back then). I also was having problems with the sims. The first time I took it, my score sheet had me at “comparable for MCQ” and weaker in the sims, final score 72. The second time I took it, it was same – comparable in MCQ, weaker in sims. Final score 73. I was actually passing the friggin MCQ!

I was using Becker and did end up purchasing the Final Review for AUD. It gives you additional sim. practice. If NINJA offers sims in AUD, you could even use those. I took a good five days before my exam and solely reviewed the sims for as long as I could each day. Also, when I came to a question in a sim, I tried to say what the answer was (or explain the answer) before I clicked on the answer choices.

    Best of luck!
