    NINJA Question –

So, i need to make a decision on what ninja products to buy for REG. I absolutely will purchase mcq’s but my question is buy the ninja book or just the ninja notes? For AUD i used the book and mcq’s and used them both interchangeably. For BEC I read the book but my primary focus was the mcq’s. I spent a lot of time wishing I had just bought the notes for BEC to use as a reference for mcq’s. I have never used the notes but have looked at the excerpts Jeff provides for free. I can’t tell from that how well they are organized or if they will align cleanly to the mcq’s. Will they be a good reference source for the mcq’s?

Any advice from folks who used the Ninja notes and/or book with mcq’s will be greatly appreciated. I will start this week and have scheduled exam for May 23 and I want it to be my very last one, for sure!!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!

I used Becker, Ninja mcq and Ninja notes. I took REG three times before passing it. I would recommend using the notes, they summarize in fewer words and I already had a book. They do flow nicely with the MCQ but of course you can't beat the value and importance of the MCQ. They are the CPA “must have” if you want to pass this exam. I rewrote the notes according to the NINJA study guide and it is 100% worth the time and effort. I would recommend the notes. If you learn better by reading, then I would say you might benefit from both. Good Luck!

I used becker books/videos with ninja mcq's. Worked well.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

Thank you. I am definitely getting the ninja mcq and if the REG set has as much information included in the responses as AUD and BEC had, then that will be great. Having either the book or notes will make it more efficient as i work through them.

I would also like to hear what people have to say on this. I am using Becker and plan on getting NINJA MCQs as a review mechanism. What has worked for others?

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

The following are the four (4) NINJA Books, in which I didn’t have a chance to lay out an outline. I thought I would share my outlines (per my above post as well) so you will have a reference what are you getting should you decide to buy NINJA notes and/or book to supplement with NINJA MCQs.

Good luck guys! Tax and business law are more fun than BEC.
Can I take REG again instead of BEC (4th time)?

    Regulation IV……………..Property Tax………………42 pages
    Regulation V………………Individual Tax……………..43 pages
    Regulation VI……………..Entity Tax …………………..57 pages

I've used the NINJA notes, MCQs, and Audio for the 3 exams I've passed so far. I also watch the Blitz videos the day before each exam. For REG just recently, I watched all the Becker videos and took notes, and then I worked on NINJA MCQs for the remainder of my studying. I couldn't have passed without the NINJA products, especially the audio.

    AUD: Pass (July 2015)
    BEC: Pass (Nov 2015)
    REG: Pass (Feb 2016)
    FAR: Pass (June 2016)

Well I just scored an 87 using all Ninja products. Not sure if that helps other than to say it works. I think the book is more important than the notes but I liked the notes as well.
