NINJA Question –
Does anyone feel shock when taking NINJA MCQ? It feels like a “hard” testlet you “earn” after nailing the first one. I know the program zeroes in on your weak areas, but I want to see if anyone feels the same.
First post in a long while – in the last 6 months I’ve gotten two 74s on FAR, lost credit for BEC, then got it back by the skin of my teeth after short but intense study. Both 74s say I was “stronger” on MCQ and weaker on SIMS – opposite of reg & audit for me. I do feel like the sims program is going to help – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at a FAR sim and the cells/selections/whatever and said “huh” – even when I feel like I do understand the fundamental issue. Practice in figuring how they want me to get there should’ve gotten me over the last two humps, right?
My gut is to use what worked before with MCQ (Wiley TB) and use NINJA for sims – since it is the only program I’ve seen where the practice sims look remotely like an actual exam sim. My only hesitation is that I was rated weak in the “financial statements” area of MCQ both times so customizing Ninja MCQ for that a couple of times might help?
Two more shots and then I’m done. Hoping to need just one. Really hoping this isn’t a close but no cigar learning experience.
