    Hey guys,

I failed FAR with a 73 last quarter with NINJA MCQ.

    Now on my retake,

-I reset all of my questions

-I’m going through all of them again

-I’m averaging and trending around 80

-My test is a little over 3 weeks away

I’m afraid that I might be memorizing the answers so I’m considering getting another test bank.

What do you guys recommend? Gliem, Roger, CPAexcel?…..I appreciate any comments and recommendations.

I still plan on hitting ninja mcq and the sims but I think adding another test bank may be helpful.

I’m not too worried about paying the extra money.

I'm with you! I got a 72, though I feel like it's due to me not using NINJA mcq (it expired 3 weeks before the test and I didn't want to renew). I do feel the Wiley questions are pretty decent (I only did half of them and half of the SIMs). This time around, I plan to redo the questions from Roger's, WTB, and NINJA. (Hitting 3000 at least). While Roger's is nice, I don't think it's as good as NINJA though….

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)
    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)

I do not think memorizing is necessarily a bad thing… as long as you know why. I supplemented ninja mcq with Wiley CPAexcel study guide. I think wiley was more computational.

But again you are not concerned about money, but I do think wiley is pretty good with far.

Materials: Wiley book + Ninja MCQ

    FAR - 83 (Jan 2016)
    Study time: 6 weeks
    BEC - 87 (April 2016)
    Study time: 2 weeks
    AUD - 92 (July 2016), (74 Feb 2016), (72 May 2016)
    Study time: 4 (Feb) + 2 (May) + 3 (July) = 9 weeks total
    REG - (70 April 2016)
    Study time: 3 weeks

I used Wiley MCQs and Ninja MCQs for FAR. I think both were good and it was definitely helpful to have both…but I can't really tell you for sure how great they were until the 24th when I get my score. 😉

why do you think more test banks will help you?? FAR is FAR..You cant really memorize 1600 questions..the whole entire point is learning the process..I would think even if you remember which answer is correct it would be more beneficial to know the answer and then try and work through the problem to get to that answer so you understand how to do it.

Spending more money will not help you pass.

Understanding why you get the question right or wrong and what you did wrong will.

I just went through the questions I missed the first time a second..and dont think I remembered more then maybe 10 percent of them..I think my lowest quiz the second time through was 90 percent.

To the OP, did you do final practice tests already?
Have you seen the AICPA 2015 and 2016 Newly Released Questions? Becker provides a very good set of detailed explanations of each question. Becker's final practice tests are totally different sets of questions from the Homework and Progress Test Banks. Some people said that to actually work on a final practice test (for 3-4 hours straight) is a complete waste of time. They said that because the questions they answered were merely drawn from the same test banks they've already seen and worked on.

    I'm averaging 78 trending 83. That's through 3200 questions.

I'm trying to get my trending/average to the 90's with about 4k to 5k questions completed in ninja, then I will look to possibly buy the second test bank.

    How are you doing?

if you have done all new questions in ninja – do your missed last time, then your trouble questions. go section by section till your done. read everything!!! and do the sims.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different
