2013 4-Part NINJA App (iOS/Android)

I am contemplating on buying the Ninja 10-point Combo because buying the whole package costs less than buying the materials individually. However, I am not sure what is this App (iOs/Android). I am the last person to know the latest gadgets available in the market and I have to ask my young sons, what’s this & what’s that? Last year, I needed a new laptop for my masteral studies and my 22-yr old son suggested that I get iPad. So far I am enjoying its usefulness and portability. Could I use this Ninja App on my iPad or or on my desktop or any regular (2011) laptop?
