Hi everyone, I cannot decide which one to use: Wiley, Roger or Gleim CPA Review? I have used Gleim before, not too bad, video is a bit boring but other than this, it’s fine.

    Any opinion will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Try them all, figure out your learning method.
I like to watch/listen and learn so Roger with the white boards was crucial for me.
It made the CPA exam suck slightly less.

No one knows how you learn best except you.
If massive MCQs and notes style reading if your deal, Gleim is the Answer.
If watching videos and learning from seeing if your deal, then Roger is the most likely candidate for you.
If a mix of reading, videos, listening, and MCQs is your best method, then maybe Wiley or even Ninja is the right solution for you.

Try them all, see which one explains the topics the best, see which one clicks with you.
See which one you hate going to the website.

If you're strongly considering Roger, then today's the day:

In addition to what has already been mentioned:

I've used Wiley for most of the CPA exams, and switched to Gleim to pass AUD earlier this year. Wiley was good, and the FAR lecture videos were great, but I found that their review course would be a bit “buggy” at times. I also disliked how attached documents were when doing SIMs, they never seemed to work correctly when I used it. At the end of the day, I would probably go with Gleim over Wiley.

I was using Wiley which was not bad – but I switched to Roger after seeing his you tube videos. I find him more engaging and his mnemonics really helped me remember things during the FAR exam.

Ninja was all I needed! Do the 7 day trial.

    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different

Gleim is an amazing supplement, and even more organized than Roger & Becker! Really underrated CPA review! But as a primary CPA review, I highly recommend Becker. It has everything, and the IT software format is EXACTLY like the actual exam. The others are wannabe's in that category.

No need to get the flashcards/supplemental etc from any CPA review btw.

I used Wiley's books in the past , and that was very hard for me to learn from. When I saw the UWorld Roger CPA Review and it's high pass rate, I felt much for confident as a student and I feel the support much more from this review program. The app is very good for on-the-run studying, which I do a lot being the kids interrupt me a lot. Also, Roger's dynamic videos and his sense of humor help add levity to the topics.

I passed using 5-year old used Wiley books and ultimately designing my own flashcard-based course haha. But though the books cost maybe only $100, my trial-and-error approach cost me another $2k in retakes, so I probably would have saved both time and money had I instead invested in a proper review course like Becker.

    I use Roger.

Some of the features I really liked:

Smartpath- it tracks your progress by comparing your results to students who have already passed the exam. You use it to see what areas you need to focus more on. As far as I know, no other review course has anything like it.

Study hub- data base of questions submitted by students for specific questions which Roger’s team answer in detail. It’s really helpful if you get stuck on a question and don’t know what to do.

The mobile app- You can pass all the CPA exams by using only your phone if you wanted to. You can find everything they offer on their web platform on their mobile app as well. I really think Roger has one of the best mobile apps in the market.

Also, I'm pretty sure you already know that if you did a little bit of research about these courses, but Roger has THE BEST lectures. Really funny and not boring at all which is hard with accounting 🙂

Regardless of what you choose, I wish you luck!!
